The location is amazing, I honestly didn't know what to expect from a hostel but the other guests and staff were so friendly and I had a total blast. The staff didn't let you want or need for anything always asking for opportunities to go above and beyond. The history ofthe building is palatable the accommodations very comfortable, they even offer bikes to check out the parks and downtown they are located right in the middle of.I'm so glad I didn't book a traditional hotel for this trip I will be coming back!
This place was great. I booked it last minute, like 10 minutes before getting there and it was in a great spot. It's right at the Fine Art Museum and a nice grassy park with a pond.
It's not far from "Midtown" where there are plenty of bars and restaurants. Good food and live entertainment likely regularly. I stopped at several places.
Everyone in the male dorm was running the Little Rock Marathon in the morning, but the staff was really cool about a relaxed check out schedule for everyone running.
The place itself is just really cool too, with a really warm feeling, lot's to look at, and cozy seating.
I'm so glad this place is available and so affordable.
The Firehouse Museum & Hostel has made my first visit to Little Rock a delightful, enriching experience! I love meeting people from all over the world, it's highly walkable location in an historical neighborhood, next door to the Fine Arts Museum, and the park, with grocery store nearby.
The manager and volunteers are friendly and helpful... it's truly been an experience that renews my faith in humanity.
Had a nice stay at the hostel for 2 nights. It is just under a mile to reach the riverfront. SoMa is a short walk away. Other guests were mindful of the 10pm curfew. The Wifi works great, and shower water runs hot.
It is located in MacArthur Park, so it would be a great homebase for guests interested in visiting Little Rock for the upcoming 2024 Total Solar Eclipse event happening in April.
Great little European style hostel in a great location next to the Fine Arts Museum and a cute park. Walkable to river front area. Mazh and the volunteer staff are super friendly and helpful.
This was my very first road trip to Arkansas, and I enjoyed every second of it. The staff was friendly, very helpful, and I enjoyed my stay very much. Will definitely go back when I have more time to explore the area!
Thank you for showing me around and giving me ideas on things to do on such a last-minute trip.
I had an awesome 2-night stay for my first hostel visit, and highly recommend the Firehouse Hostel & Museum! I stayed in the Captain's room, not the men's dorm, and it was great - clean, comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hostel's common areas with firehouse memorabilia, equipment, info and more were very cool. It's a short walk to downtown, with several pubs, restaurants, etc. only a few blocks away through the quiet neighborhood. The hostel has a few bikes that guests can borrow, too. The amazing re-imagined Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts just opened and is literally next door, along with the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History. I'm already recommending the Firehouse to my friends.
Easy to get to. Convenient location in historical district. Clean, comfortable. Prepared food in kitchen. Nice dining area. Quiet surroundings. Pleasant staff. Felt like staying in someone’s home without a tv or bathroom in every room. Put your dirty towels and bed sheets in laundry bin. You’re a houseguest!
Afrobites is in the top class of food trucks. They offer safety and excellent customer service (which is hard to find nowadays). Their hours of operation are consistent, they're menu is easy to read and order from. They bring your order on a serving
