Firecakes Donuts - Donut shop in Oak Park - 104 N Maple Ave, USA

Fritter donut was dee-lish! (Had an apple version previously... This one was cherry!) About $5 for one. (Parking available outside, but it's a bit busy and might have to circle around a few times)

We were expecting so much more from our dozen donuts, in light of the high price tag ($47.53)!! We ordered three days ahead for our special occasion and sadly, everyone was disappointed. 😪 The raspberry cream had a pungent taste, almost like nail polish remover. Most of the donuts were dry or stale, and the tart cherry fritter lacked the flavor we were expecting. The cherries weren't tart or sweet, and the flavor was unremarkable. We drove out of our way to Oak Park and really wanted to love these donuts. Next time, we'll stick with Stan's, Donut Vault, or Hello Donuut.

Fantastic donuts and a killer chicken sandwich! They have a vegan and a gluten free option every day as well as some delish seasonal offerings. The classics are awesome and I can't wait to get my hands on one of the giant sprinkle filled birthday donuts!

Very hot coffee and cold, hard donuts. Kind of a harsh morning. Not feeling donut love.I’m sure this will be easily remediated once this oak park location could make their donuts in house I think that really will add to the dynamic doughnut experience /it’s just a little bit too precious. Not feeling warm fuzzy vibes either.I kind of feel like early morning shift people need to be a little bit more warm but that’s just me. It’s hard to be a morning person I understand. But I’m paying for quality donuts. I guess that’s all I’m paying for. The coffee is on point. The best thing about this morning and this place is the coffee. Be careful it’s piping hot.

A little morning treat for myself. They are overly priced donuts but I have to admit it’s worth it. A dozen is about $36 as compared to a local bakery around $22 while they are over priced I will still say it’s worth it. A coffee and donut ran me $10.86. Just about the same amount I paid in Paris! 😂 they received 4 stars because of pricing

Great selection of craft donuts and friendly staff… chose the pistachio and orange poppy seed for today with some coffee. Open regular hours today (Memorial Day) till 4 pm. Get your donuts on!!

This morning I visited the Oak Park location and it was the most embarrassing experience I've had since patronizing in Oak Park, IL. The cashier (who wouldn't give me her name) jumped to conclusions during my checkout. I was using Apple Pay and the machine was moving slow. She looks at me and goes "Oh, its not going through..(weird smirk)". My response was "It's not connected on my end. It's not even showing up." (So, how or why would she insinuate that my card wasn't going through) She then presses something on the register screen. I then put my phone back by the reader and paid so I could leave. It's so unfortunate and more common than not that African Americans are always being stereotyped for one reason or another.
