1st time hearing of Firebox grill and eating here. We do not have this chain in my state. I must say the food is delicious! I had the chicken Philly and my daughter got the chicken teriyaki bowl. We would definitely eat here more if we had one at home!
I gave Firebox Grill a try and I was pleasantly impressed with the freshness and flavor. I ordered the Rodeo Burger with Cajun Fries and also the Solo BBQ Wings. Super delicious food and fresh. I’ll definitely come back.

This super cool place use to be a Glen Gene Deli. Now it is Glen Gene Deli 2.0 Aka Firebox Grill. I love the new decor, hang lights, new colors and train logo on the napkin holders. Though I had some what of a limited menu if you are into lettuce burgers etc. I went with the chicken Nachos which were good but they ran out of cheese sauce that completes this meal. No worries the black beans and there ingredients made up for it. I also tried the Reese Cup milk shake and it was a true delight. Would I recommend this restaurant? Yes Would I come back ? Yes One star off for no cheese sauce
Very yummy. My son got the cheeseburger and at the first bite said it was one of the best burgers he has ever eaten. My taco bowl was huge and delicious and my wife got the berry salad and she was it was also great. Definitely recommend.
Like Glen Gene in Hixson, very good food! One of the best Patty Melts in town, good tots and fries, love the topping bar, have had nothing bad on the menu at all. Definitely recommend.
I've been eating here for many years when it was Glen Gene, and I can say the quality has dropped quite a bit when they rebranded to Firebox. Some of their food items are still good, but they are way to hit or miss with quality. The Glen Gene in Hixson seems to be run better, and has more consistent quality. I love patronizing local businesses, but they have to beat out large corporations with their food quality and customer service, otherwise there's no reason to pay higher prices for subpar food and service. Please don't let the Glen Gene legacy die.
Affordable, Delicious, & good ol greasy food. You really can’t go wrong with this. Everything we tried was yummy and those fries were thick & crispy. Definitely recommend this gem if you’re visiting Chattanooga!
