Finn's Motel - Motel in St James - 777 Grover St, USA

You get what you pay for, right? And this place is cheap. You aren't going to get a modern hotel with a bunch of amenities at this price. But, the gentleman who checked me in was friendly. My room was big and it was spotless. You could see that the bathroom had been repaired multiple times and will need to be completely redone at some point. But it was certainly functional. The floor in my room looked new and there was a very comfortable recliner in the room that looked new. The mattress was comfortable. There were a lot of TV channels. My guess is that they are making renovations as they are able to. And the motel is conveniently located right off the highway so I heard a little bit of traffic but honestly not enough that it was bothersome in any way. I would stay there again if I found myself in the area.

Strong smell of sewer gas! We ran water in all drains in case the drain traps were dry - but it did not help. Owner moved us to another room but it had tha same smell. Wife was feeling sick. Owner tried to move us again, but by this time we had enough of their lies. We left and got a room in a nearby town. The owner would not give us a refund - even though we did not stay the night.||Jul 15, 2024

Room wasn't to bad until I washed my hands and reached for a hand towel and meth pipe fell in the sick and broke.....didn't realize what had happened at first Other than that room was clean employees are nice beds are comfortable

We had NO TV our stay here. The rooms are big and spacey. They have tub/showers, please don't get rid of the tubs. Pet friendly.

Stayed for two nights while visiting my son at Missouri S and T. Price was great. Room 8 was infested with bugs. (See pics) Highway noise was very loud. Room was clean and everything worked. Showers were dirty but had plenty of hot water. They did not clean the room while I was out for the day but they did give me more towels when I requested them. Overall, acceptable except for the bugs.

Stayed here for a night. Was charged USD 65 inclusive of taxes. Not worth the price. USD 45 would have been appropriate. Motel is next to highway, so easy to spot and check-in.ild noise from the vehicles on highway, but that should be ok. Room size, hygiene is ok. Bathroom is small and dirty. No water. TV did not work until someone from the front desk had to reboot it twice. No floor mat available. I prefer not to stay another time, u less this is

Our room was updated in 2023 according to other posts. The main room was redone. The floor is a pergo or laminate which I personally like better than carpet. The bathroom still could use some attention. It is just old but clean. The wiring is a little different. To turn on the light in bathroom, the switch out by the sink controls booth. The price was very reasonable.

The motel is a very very pleasant stay very clean rooms very kind owners. I give Finns motel in St. James no. I would recommend to anyone to stay here. Nice place nice location best motel in town. From the Johnsons in room 5 July 10th and 11th wish they would put me to work for room and board and $100 a week I would do so.
