Finnegan's Wake Restaurant and Pub - Bar & grill in Walpole - 685 Main St, USA

Came here on a whim and Finnegan's far exceeded any expectations we had! It was a fun place to watch the game and the food was great and very filling. We had the poutine, Reuben Sandwich and Guinness stew and each dish hit the spot. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, the decor was entertaining and there's a decent selection of beer on tap.

Well, what a great place with true Irish Heritage. The ownership team of Kristin Smith and Thomas Kirwan make the place most enjoyable. The employees are all happy to be there and they make a difference always. Tommy & Kristin are true entrepreneurs. Historically, they have acted as travel agents in putting tours of Ireland together. Had the pleasure to participate in several of them and was always waiting for the next one to be scheduled. They also co-chair a charitable foundation as a way to give back to the Walpole community. In closing I would highly recommend Finnegan's Wake to anybody looking to experience the Irish Community at its finest level.

Had dinner, a group of nine. Pleased with the cocktails and the server was friendly and efficient. Dinners were delicious and the food was plentiful. Some who had never been there said they would be coming back.

Was in town for a week. Went once on a weeknight a bit later, and staff was able to accommodate us. Even though we were there a bit later staff never made us feel like an inconvenience. Son had steak tips and raved about them, I had a massive portion of fresh hot fish and chips. It was so good we had to go back a couple of nights later with my wife and other son. They loved it to sitting on the back porch, and I got some huge and well prepared scallops.

Poutine was tasty. Shrimp pesto pasta needed way more flavor and waaaaay less oil. The noodles were swimming in oil and the shrimp was so rubbery. Server was pleasant and efficient.

It was lunch time, only a few tables of patrons. The clam chowder was good, but the fish tasted like burnt oil! Guinness stew was good. Whween asked "what's good" the waitress wasn't entirely forthcoming with a helpful answer. Maybe there's an "unspoken rule" inn restaurants, that waitresses shouldn't actually give a recommendation? IMO the waitress is the sales person and should be able to sell you the food to make money for the restaurant!

Best food and atmosphere around. Live music was great and all the classic Irish dishes are my favorites

I got one of the specials, and it was fantastic. Both of my guests enjoyed their meal as well. Great time and great prices
