As a former competitor and a current father, I can tell you this gym is an amazing place for the whole family. Whether you're getting ready for your first MMA fight, want to get in better shape, want to learn self-defense or teach your kids valuable life skills. This is the place to be. All the coaches are amazing, with a great environment, a lot of expertise. I'm so glad I walked into this gym almost 2 years ago!

As I approach the end of nearly a year of training in "Fight Mechanix kickboxing and MMA", I find myself compelled to share my remarkable journey at this establishment. My experience with the kickboxing classes here has been a stroke of luck, especially considering my non-native English background and complete lack of prior martial arts training. It may seem daunting to instruct someone in martial arts under such circumstances, but that was far from the reality here. The coaches, Adam and Mike, demonstrated exceptional intelligence in their teaching approach. They had the ability to dissect the most difficult combinations into manageable steps and patiently explain until mastery was achieved. The professionalism exhibited by these instructors was unparalleled. Not only did they possess a wealth of knowledge and experience, but they also exuded a genuine passion for their craft. Their commitment and enthusiasm for martial arts were infectious, clearly reflecting their genuine concern for their students' progress. The fighters who gather here are nothing short of fierce, albeit in the friendliest manner possible. Initially, the prospect of training alongside such skilled individuals may appear intimidating for someone without a background in martial arts. However, the atmosphere fostered by the coaches is incredibly welcoming. As soon as you set foot in this gym, you'll feel embraced and have the opportunity to practice with both experienced fighters and beginners in an amicable setting, learning from individuals of varying skill levels. This gym is one of the best gyms I’ve had the pleasure of being apart of. Open to all ages with many different levels of classes. Not only is it great for adults but kids too. My 7 year old loves going to classes and learning from his coaches. They are humble, patient, and passionate when it comes to teaching both physical and mental strength. I've been training here for almost 2 years and I really look forward to coming to class. Adam is a fantastic coach; he has the ability to teach at every skill level and to people with every background. He always keeps a relaxed demeanor but pushes you at the same time. Highly recommend coming to class and checking it out for yourself!

Excellent instruction-but even more than that it is a safe and welcoming environment for you no matter what your goals are. The coaches here great instructors and amazing people. It doesn't matter if you are new and just want to learn how to properly defend yourself or have been around for awhile, you will get alot out these classes.

My son loves the MMA striking class. It has helped him with his confidence and kept him physically active. Adam is a great coach! I’m so glad I signed my son up for this class.

Sitting out here duck hunting, reflecting on life, and honestly kept thinking about how glad I am that I joined Great Lakes BJJ and Fight Mechanix. Adam is a great guy! Super knowledgeable and friendly. Gives clear instruction and let's you explore on your own a little too. Couldn't recommend them any more. Five Stars!!!

I’ve been a martial arts enthusiast my whole life and I can without a doubt testify that this is the best training I’ve ever had. Coaches here care about growing each athlete from any level and they are patient in making sure you improve your fight game every time you step foot into the door. I highly recommend you start or continue your journey here . You will become stronger mentally, physically, and meet some great people along the way!
