Fernando's - American restaurant in East Ridge - 5308 Ringgold Rd, USA

First time here, and we had a waitress who was brand new but very sweet. Breakfast portions were good-sized, tasted good (gravy was a bit plain, but...). Before we left, they had a lunch buffet set up, and it looked great! We'll be back to sample that.

Was in the area and stopped by to try them out for a lunch box Togo. Very friendly people. Amazing barbecue pork and chicken considering that this is an Italian restaurant. Pizza was also very tasty as well :) Fresh fruits and tasty desert. All for a very reasonable price. The place was nice and clean. I will definitely come back again next visit to the area :)

Stopped in while on a day trip. Not too busy at lunch so we had no wait. A decent selection on the buffet ranging from pizza to hamburger steaks. Not a bad place to eat and the waitress and hostess was a delight.

This was our 1st trip to Fernando's. I'm nit sure we will go back. Yet I want to explain why. Let's start with the good. Upon walking in. There were 3 ladies at the register & 1 went out to clean tables. Good sign. The other 2 seemed confused about seating but quickly explained they had a bigger crowd that had just left. So it was understandable. I was surprised as the place is smaller than I'd expected. We sat a couple of tables from the bar area. It was rather drafty today, but it's expected with temps only being in mid 30s right now. I heard a lady across from us speaking on how cold the bathroom was. I hadn't noticed when we sat down but you have to go out of the actual restaurant to go to the bathroom in the waiting area. The waitress that seated us was very polite & friendly, even asking if that particular table was ok. She offered us a menu & told us we could even have a look at the buffet before making up our minds. So we checked it out walking around it to view the items. It appeared the food may have been there for a bit of time but we noticed a young lady putting a new dish out & assumed they would be restocking all of the foods. When we got back up to the buffet, nothing but one dish had been restocked. I got the corn, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese with what I'm assuming was a hamburger patty. It wasn't what I'd consider really good food. Basic but maybe it was an off day. I wished I'd have ordered breakfast. I read many reviews stating how good it is. I wasn't impressed with the pizza. It tasted and looked old. The best part of the entire meal was the salad & dessert. I had a basic salad though and for dessert I had the banana pudding & chocolate pudding. Banana was the winner 🥇 The staff were very nice, attentive to the customers. I did notice the fried chicken was being eaten like crazy (too bad I can't eat it). The place is clean and very laid back. Seemed to be a mostly older crowd which is fine as it seemed more calm, less of a loud atmosphere. Which I prefer. I just wish the buffet had been better stocked as far as fresher items. Otherwise, I'd recommend going when a larger crowd hasn't been there prior to your arrival.

Stopped in for 'scrunch' (that which is between supper and lunch). Time was 3:00 pm'ish. Food bar was well stocked but a couple of items looked like they had been there a while. The food I chose was hot and delicious. Atmosphere was peaceful and the waitress, perfect.

I've ordered from here through Door Dash and always enjoyed it. I was in the area and decided to go in and place an order to go. I was surprised to find they had a very nice buffet set up. There's also another large room off to the side. They weren't extremely packed, but still pretty busy for the time of day I was there.. around 3pm. It didn't take long for them to get my order ready to go. I love that you can get breakfast all day long here. Be sure to try their real home fries! The only place in town that knows how to cook 'em! I'm definitely going to go back and try the buffet.

For was great. I had a vegetable plate and my husband had eggs and pancakes. Love that they serve breakfast all day. They also have a buffet, but we chose to order of the menu. Server was great!

I absolutely love Fernandos. Until recently. Our visits were always great. The last 2 visits were horrible. The food was not as good and appeared old,the server was new,but she did the best she could. There were 5 workers on the floor, including the guy at the register. We go often,so we knew 4 were new. 1 twisted around,and was actually eating a plate on the other side of the bar, literally on the bar.I know Fernando said,you can drink on the floor. But what I witnessed was definitely a health department violation..I couldn't get cheese pizza,because it was 5 cold,old pizzas still at the bar. Misty finally was able to get me some after an hour of sitting..One waitress even said not to eat on Wednesday, because Fernando doesn't cook. The salad bar was good as usual. Not saying I want go again. Because I do love my day shift service. Shannon rocks💪🏾
