Fenwick Islander Motel - Motel in Fenwick Island - 1 DE-1, USA

Overall, we are very satisfied with our experience. The room was clean and well-equipped. It was a week after Labor Day and it's a mostly residential community, so it was quiet and peaceful. Great for laid-back types. Staff is pleasant and helpful when approached, but not bothersome. Only a 5-minute walk to a beautiful stretch of sparsely-populated beach. Free Parking for registered guests. Three reasons why I don't give it 5 stars: 1.) The motel Wi-Fi is unsecured, which your operating system might reject, and the local hotspot is a weak and unreliable signal. 2.) There was a strong N'oreaster the morning of our departure, which resulted in leakage and puddles at the balcony window and door (management said they are working on a solution). 3.) If you smoke, you'll have to do it in the parking lot and not on your balcony, but that's the case everywhere now. Nevertheless, we will definitely stay there again next year.

This is a hotel that is a really good value for money. Nice owners that were very accommodating, it's within Beach walking distance. Stores within walking distance. This hotel made for a memorable vacation.

Motel is just vs the highway from the beach. Our room had a nice view of the canal and the king bed was super firm and comfy. The plumbing wasnt the greatest and the interior of the hotel was a bit on the shabby side, but for 1 night it was a good deal. Staff seemed friendly when we arrived and the small pool looked inviting. Would definitely come back as the location is great, close by to a great restaurant, Matt's Fish Camp.

We love it here. Close enough to he chaos of Ocean city but far enough away to put it behind you and just relax. Stellar staff, excellent facility and close to everything we need. Balcony rooms are nice for relaxing and the pool is a great added touch

This is our second stay this year. Location is great with easy beach access. Close to many dining options and within easy walking distance. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Great pool area. Staff was courteous and very accommodating.

Rooms dated and not very clean old air conditioning unit was loud and had an odor. Staff exceptional and pool was nice bathroom had food on floor and dingy tub and smudge marks on wall and door. Bed creaked like old springs but was comfortable - hallway had no air conditioning and first floor doors were open all night

Toilet backed up. When brought to the attention of front desk, they handed me a plunger and I was to clear it/fix it since maintenance wasn't on property until next day. 2nd. Water pipe broke on 3rd floor, office claimed it was a water main break, it wasn't. No water was available for over 18hrs. Their fix for this was, you may take showers and use the toilet by the pools. Problem we were on the 3rd floor, no elevator, both my wife and I are older, so climbing the stairs back and forth wasn't an option. 3rd problem, owners was a coward. No other way to say it. Locked the office door, hung a sign on it stating for us to use the outdoor showers, hasn't returned any of the money, refund, or in any way reached out to, not only myself, but others in the hotel. Called left messages, no response. I have stayed in this hotel for over 25yrs, I will NEVER stay here again. Its a shame.

Great access to the beach and various dining options within walking distance. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Great pool area. Room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.
