Feather Falls Trails
Feather Falls National Recreation Trail offers incredible views of Bald Rock Dome, Bald Rock Canyon, and the 640-foot Feather Falls.
There are two options to reach the overlook at Feather Falls.
At 1/3 mile past the trailhead, the trail diverges. A 3.3 mile path to the west and a gently sloping 4.5 mile path to the east is best for the inexperienced hiker. Both trails lead you to the Feather Falls observation deck.
Either one you take is a beautiful experience, make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks.
Before starting the hike make sure to use the restroom since the trails don’t have one available.
Amazing place to come hiking, just come prepared. The hike has 2 routes: a 4.5 mile and a 3.3 mile option. We did the 4.5 mile in and out for a total of 9 miles, totally worth it! The Feather falls are breathtaking in a perfect setting. If you hike up behind the falls there is a place to swim.
We got to the parking lot at 11am and finished at 5pm, prepare to get in early and make this a whole day event.
Recommendations: Bring 2 liters of water per person, a hat, waterproof hiking shoes, and WATCH OUT FOR POISON OAK (LEAVES OF 3, LET EM BE).
Beautiful hike. Definitely take low trail in and high trail out. The trail is in places washed out and can be a bit dangerous during rainy season. So worth the hike. I can't wait to go back.
Awesome hike great views . The trail has a lot of shade .bring water it takes 220 min to walk to the the falls on the upper trail.
fun fact: this is the 6th highest waterfall in the world at 680 feet! Excellent views, moderate difficulty hike through a lush area. Worth the long, out of the way drive required to access the trailhead.
Beautiful hike, mild decline in... but can be more than you think coming out. Im in pretty good health, and admittedly didn't do any other hiking this year... but by the time we reached the top coming out, my knees and hips were done!
I love this hike! It’s gorgeous all year round! Its a little scorched at the turn to the trailhead off Lumpkin Rd but the area itself and around waterfall are untouched by the recent fires, I recommend this to all!
Great trail out to the falls that always seems to be in good shape. Definitely a day long endeavor. Good under story wildflowers in the spring and mushrooms in the fall.
Outstanding public display of holiday cheer. Very welcoming with areas to sit and heat provided. There is free selfies, so many displays, small hills for the children to slide, as well as paid inflatableâs and a larger sledding area. So cool and so
I get excited when I see that this place is open. I always try to stop on my home.
Friendly staff and some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. It's flavorful while not being super salty.
Their prices are very affordable (tacos are $2!).
So far I
Awesome displays. Amazed on array of tools, cleanliness, research including date and inventors names. The detailed design of each panel looked as lovely as quilt patterns. I brought my friend also a fan of tools. He was impressed. Thank you for your

This place is beautiful when you come at the right time of year. I did a field study of California wildflowers here and was amazed at how many species exist here. Best to come as early as possible in the morning. This place is gaining popularity and
Beautiful flowers! Customer service at 110%! Another floral service notified us the date prior to my aunt's Celebration of Life service, that they couldn't fill the order. Oroville Flower Shop didn't hesitate for 1 second to step to the plate. Hi
