Fathoms Hotel and Marina is a can’t miss when staying in Port Washington. The owners, Steve and Cindie, are the perfect hosts and you can’t help but feel like family when it’s time to checkout. The rooms are large, clean, updated, and comfortable. The views are second to none and the whole property is just… inviting. I can’t wait to come back. A huge thank you to Steve and Cindie for making our time at Fathoms so happy and memorable.
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Fathoms, a charming bed and breakfast in Port Washington, NY, and it was an experience we'll never forget. From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Steve and Cindie, were incredibly kind and generous, making us feel right at home.
Each morning, we were greeted with fresh bagels and pastries, all handpicked to suit our tastes. Steve and Cindie went above and beyond to accommodate every one of our requests, ensuring our stay was perfect. They also provided us with a plethora of amazing recommendations that made our trip even more enjoyable.
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, situated right on the water, offering breathtaking views. Despite its luxurious location, it maintained a wonderfully homey feel that made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout our stay.
If you're looking for a place that combines exceptional hospitality with beautiful surroundings, Fathoms is an absolute gem. We can't wait to return!
The Fathoms Hotel & Marina is a wonderful place to stay right on the shore of Long Island, with scenic views of Manhasset Bay and a fabulous location in the charming town of Port Washington. We were welcomed so warmly and made to feel very at home and comfortable in this lovely hotel that is beautifully decorated and appointed. The fully stocked kitchen was wonderful, the walk down the pier to the marina was so pleasant, and there are great outdoor spaces facing the bay to relax and enjoy and to watch the sunset in the evenings. We truly enjoyed meeting Cindie and family and staying at the very lovely Fathoms Hotel & Marina!
This was my 3rd time back to Fathoms and it keeps getting better. Not resting on its laurels, the hotel is constantly making little improvements to enhance the experience. It even has a new mascot, Mort the lobster. But that breathtaking view is a constant!! It was so fun taking the water taxi to dinner, and then strolling home along the bay to work off the calories of delicious dinner. Port Washington is such a charming place and Fathoms is THE place to enjoy it all.
My partner and I stayed at the Fathoms for 2 nights. I was there on business, he was there to vacation. The setting was unbelievable - a quiet bay with perfect sunset viewing, close to good restaurants and access to NYC via commuter train with 20 minutes. The hosts were the most gracious I have ever met and provide anything needed for a comfortable stay. Free snacks, good advice, pleasant conversation. I will never stay in Manhattan in the summer again - will stay here for the tranquility and ambience.
Our 3 night stay at Fathoms was the highlight of our summer! The hotel, pier, town and area are all 10s. Steve and Cyndi go above and beyond to personalize and accommodate the stay of their guests. We didn't want to leave! They have thought of every little detail and offer the best accommodations on Long Island with easy access to the city. We can't wait to go back, this time as a couple minus the kids.
My stay at the Fathoms Hotel & Marina was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled right by the water's edge, this hotel offers a serene and picturesque setting that truly rejuvenates the soul. I watched a magical sunset from my veranda and the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore provided the perfect soundtrack to my visit.
The rooms are beautifully furnished and impeccably clean, with thoughtful touches that enhanced the experience. There is a coffee bar in the hotel lobby with everything a guest could want including complimentary coffee, teas, sodas, and snacks.
The hosts, Cindie and Steve, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was comfortable and enjoyable. Their attention to detail and willingness to assist with any request made me feel truly valued as a guest.
I highly recommend The Fathoms Hotel for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat by the water. It's not just a hotel; it's an experience that will leave you refreshed and inspired. I can't wait to return!
Fathoms Hotel is a gem nestled in the heart of it all. When my wife and I arrived, Cindie and Steve welcomed us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Their kindness truly elevated our stay, making us feel like family more than just visitors. The property is immaculately clean, with attention to detail in every corner. The charm of the hotel's architecture seamlessly blends with the beauty of its surroundings, creating a tranquil atmosphere that invites relaxation. We have been with Blue Moon for about 6 years! This dojang is more than just Tae Kwon Do. These masters have helped my kids learn to persevere and face challenges with grace, while also helping to promote sportsmanship, kindness and respect. It has
Great cafe in the heart of port Washington! Lovely staff, delicious desserts and very good coffee.
The manager was very nice. Great atmosphere and decorations. Will definitely be coming back!
I told them in the restaurant but I'll put it here too: this was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to in my life. The cocktails were perfectly balanced and the bartender personally expressed his love for bartending and serving quality drinks
After my favorite ramen spot closed down, I've been on a quest for a worthy successor, and I finally found it in this exceptional ramen shop. Their approach to traditional ramen, infused with a unique flair, sets them apart, offering a memorable and
The most delicious meal I have had any where in the world.
Lunch I just had (plus a lovely beet salad I ate before I thought about taking a photo) all for $29.
Now every time I eat the mediocre fare served in town, I feel ripped off.
