Fatback's - Barbecue restaurant in Dothan - 3850 W Main St, USA

I'm used to my Texas barbecue but I thought I would give their brisket a shot. It was sliced paper thin and still very tough. Like seriously lunch meat thin. Brisket should be 1/4" thick and easily pulled apart. It needed several more hours of smoke time. The waitress was nice and the place looked fine but the bbq was average at best

We had dinner in the restaurant the other day. And we had two orders hamburger steak and 1 order of a hamburger. Food was cold and good and nasty. The place wasn't busy and it was nasty inside the restaurant. No one finished there food. I WOULD NOT recommend this restaurant to my dog.

Lot of food when you want different items. Meat food needs more sauce for flavor though. Boneless wings were great! Main dish food needs seasoning.

This restaurant has declined in quality. Most of the food just wasn't very good. I got ribs with fries and onion rings. The fries and onion rings would have actually been good if the onion rings had any kind of seasoning on them and if the fries weren't ice cold. The ribs were tough and rubbery and tasted like they were reheated in a microwave. I also got a BBQ sandwich to go for work the next day before I realized how bad the food was. It just didn't look right and smelled weird. Probably also microwaved meat. My husband ate it for lunch and said it was awful. I refused to eat it. You would think the waitress would notice I hardly touched my food but they didn't seem to care. A different one than our server came and took our uneaten food and offered to bring our bill but never brought it so we had to wait a long time for our server to return. I won't be returning here. It used to be good. I predict this place won't be in business much longer if something doesn't change. Notice when you read the reviews that most of the good ones were from years ago.

I ordered chicken tenders with fries. I requested ranch. My server Lisa brought it out with only ketchup. When I asked my server for ranch she got an attitude. Upon her bringing the ranch out she set it on the table and walked away. When I picked the ranch up I noticed a hair floating at the top of the ranch. I asked another server who was walking by if she could get my server or if I could get a honey mustard instead because there was hair in the ranch & showed her. She kindly brought me a honey mustard and apologized. She even brought me a refill on my drink. I never saw Lisa again until it was time to pay.

Due to the traffic congestion we picked this place. Our waitress was the sweetest. She was quick and kept our glasses filled. I had the bacon cheese burger and it was awesome. He had the Pork Tacos and they were ok. We both agreed that the dish should have came with 3 Tacos at least. We both had a side salad and they were delicious. I recommend it for sure.

So many BBQ places in the wiregrass yet not many that are worth the trip. Thankfully, Fatback's is worth the trip. They offer good drinks with a variety of different foods. A bit on the pricey side, but not more so than the other top BBQ places in the area. The shop has a real mom and pop feel to it and the servers are laid back and accommodating.

Best onion rings in the south! Burgers are fantastic and the grilled potatoes made me think of home. Can’t go wrong here!
