We came here with a large group, 9 people to be exact. We were able to be seated quickly during a busy hour and even our appetizers came out just minutes after we ordered. We had a great time and the service was great. The food was fantastic, especially for a bar, and service was quick and hospitable.
Talk about a selection of their beer! Kerry was lovely with explaining everything to us about the menu and is very kind. We decided to start with the Giant Pretzel, wasn't worth the money. For the entree we both got the Beauty and the Beast. I got it with the tater tots and she got the fries. Definitely worth the money and more. Tots are crispy and the fries are just the right amount of salt. The sandwiches are amazing. Love the choice of buns they use with also giving you a ton of meat. Blows away the competition away! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and is a warm atmosphere.
My friend who lives in Pittsburgh suggested this place for a bite to eat while in town and it was a couple of blocks from our Airbnb so we decided to stop in and eat. We were all a bit “under the weather” from the game the night before and decided this sounded perfect. I went with the chicken quesadilla appetizer for starters, which could have been its own meal and was very good. I like spicy food and the fresh jalapeños in this thing were hot. Took me by surprise a bit but delicious all the same. I liked that they were hot and not tasteless canned jalapeños. I had ten garlic parm traditional fried wings, which were very good. Cooked perfectly and quite fat. They have smoked wings were huge and both of my friends said they were delicious. None of our food stood a chance and even though I wasn’t feeling the best, I crushed my wings and quesadilla. The beer and cocktail menu is top notch. They have the beer they brew and they have an awesome selection of other local and regional beers, ciders, mead, wines, and even a ginger beer and sangria (the sangria was delicious as I tasted that). The bartenders were great and attentive even when it got busy. They had some live music which added to the chill ambience and the singer had a very nice voice. This place stayed busy throughout dinner hours and was busy each time we walked past. We didn’t make it back for another meal while in town, but look forward to stopping here when we come back next year.
My favorite spot in the city! The Fat Italian is my go to, the smoked wings are sooo good and always gotta get the Bumbleberry! A few other great options are the Pittsburgh Salad with grilled chicken, the pretzel and the pierogis sautéed with onions!
Met up with a few friends for a holiday get together. The bar had an acoustic musician that was actually really good. She sang a few Christmas songs, and was in the background enough to not overwhelm the conversation, but loud enough to be heard. We got a table, and ordered several orders of wings. The server was fantastic, and very pleasant, and the wings were surprisingly very good. The beers were all very good. Me being a Stout drinker, had their stout, and it was very good. It's not a fancy place, but then that's the idea.
They are by far the best pub saloon ive ever gotten food from. The beer selection is great. I got jacko and fried wings. To die for. Next visit got southshore steak n egg and onion rings. Delish. Mext trip got sauteed perogies and loaded nachos. Always good. Got pork on the nachos. Little bit busy but worth the wait for the takeout
I’m very sad that they changed the recipe—no longer have the fluffy beer battered mushrooms. Instead, I get an overseasoned, disappointing mess for $12… I will admit the horseradish sauce is still amazing but the sauce is not strong like it used to be and the shrooms really need to go back to the old batter recipe from ~2019. Fat heads is awesome!
Stopped in for Mother's day with my wife and kids. Food was awsome. Had the "expert pastrami" the wife had the chicken Philly sandwich. Food was greT service was great. Only negative I can day is that the dining area next to the bar could use a face l8ft. Other than that good food good service. Been there before, been there today and will definitely be back again.

Just a great local bar with great staff. Rachel is very attentive and friendly. My favorite thing is their ABCs of beer. They have a beer for each letter of the alphabet and keep a card on file for you. Once you complete all 26 you get a shirt.
Excellent food with many of their items being scratch made. The steamed burgers are a must try - 1/2lb patties cooked to your liking. They have weekly egg roll specials as well, and they are also delicious. Highly recommend a visit to this place!

Great little hole in the wall place. It's a bar, but they serve really good food too. My burger even had toasted buns, you don't get that at a lot of restaurants even! Pool table, juke box, some games in the back, its got a good atmosphere and a grea
Food was really good, but Missy the bartender was so freaking cool! She made me, and my wife feel at home like weâve been there a million times even though it was are first time there. We will definitely be coming back!
Update: message to owner. I will definitely be back. My expectations for cocktails was high. It was crazy busy when we were there. The service was fantastic . Food was not good but the decorations made up for it. Also, the Christmas cocktails were
When I think of Polish Hill, the Rock Room is one of the first things that comes to mind. Such a great Pittsburgh dive bar, cheap drinks, good/cheap food, and pinball. Perfect place to grab a few drinks fuel up on some pierogies and maybe see a live
