Farmstead Inn & Conference Center - Hotel in Shipshewana - 370 S Van Buren St, USA

We have repeated our visit over many years and always look forward to staying at the Farmstead.We are Never disappointed! The rooms are spacious ,very comfortable ,and clean! We love the peace and quiet that surrounds our room and the entire area. The view from our window is beautiful! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious with many choices. Always sad to leave the serenity of this place and return to the hustle and bustle of the city! We will look forward to our next stay, of course at the Farmstead !

Not what we expected for the price. The desk and housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds, common areas and the room were exceptionally clean and well furnished. The room was lacking some amenities as compared to most motels these days -- lacked USB outlets and/or more electrical outlets for today's travelers with multiple devices to be charged overnight -- many facilities have added desktop units with the outlets. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. Room was very clean and chairs/bed were comfortable. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast buffet -- no fresh fruit -- none! Biscuits were not hot, not room temperature, actually cold inside and out -- gravy was not much better and neither was the sausage. No batter in the pancake machine. We were in the area from 6:55-7:30 -- during this entire time, at least 3 employees just stood in the kitchen area of the breakfast room and laughed, chatted, ate and held up the door frame!! One of the number one policies of any establishment that "serves" the public should be -- employee break areas should be out of sight of the guest -- especially guest that are expecting there to be some service provided. The buffet area and table needed serviced during this time -- food was not of quality expected.

Staff is very friendly & helpful! Booked for a family reunion & they were great to work with when reserving a block of rooms Rooms were clean & beds were comfortable. Nice pool & hot tub. Big room for breakfast that could also be used to gather to play games, etc. Breakfast was ok but eggs were cold & pancakes very flat.

I have stayed at Farmstead Inn lots if times. Never been disappointed. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is a plus. Always tasteful and appealing. Decorations are always eye appealing and tastefully done. We love staying there. We have traveled a lot and this motel is the best.

The Farmstead was one of the cleanest motels I have stayed at. The bed coverlets were pristine white. And, all the many common areas were clean and well taken care of, with nice Amish made furniture everywhere. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely come back.

The room is very nice and clean. The beds are very comfortable and that is always a plus. The breakfast was very good, especially the potatoes but they ran out of them. The location is right in the middle of everything. Easy walk. The reception people were friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there if we’re in the area again.

I absolutely love this hotel. It is located close to town and you can walk most anywhere you want to go. Plus the flea market is right across the street. However, the property sits far enough from the road so it’s quiet and peaceful. At night you can sit outside and hear the clip clop of the horses as the buggies roll by. |Front staff is amazing. Rooms are spotless. Highly recommend this place!!

My husband and I have stayed at the Farmstead Inn several times in the past few years. We just got back from staying 4 nights. We have stayed in a couple of other places as well over the years, but we keep coming back to Farmstead. The facility is so clean and beautiful inside and out. The staff is so kind, breakfast is delicious. Pool and fitness room is great for the family, and as for the rooms, very spacious and the beds are so comfortable. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
