😎how many times have I been to this place? 10+ 👩🏻summary: I would recommend you to go as early as possible to get nice and fresh veggies (only open on Fri and Sat). Cash-only. 💁🏻♀️would I revisit this place? Yes - absolutely
Great place to get really cheap fruits and vegetables. Not uncommon to get things at equivalent of 80% off from the regular grocery chain store prices. The quality sometimes might reflect that as the produce is towards the end of its shelflife but still at those prices you can get a lot for your moneys worth as long as you eat it all within next few days. The vendors are obviously not all professionals so sometimes price negotiation can be ”exciting” If you can get there around 6pm on Saturday, you can get some amazing and common deals. $1 for a seedless watermelon $3 for 8 boxes of baby tomato’s $3 for 8 boxes of raspberries $3 for 2 large boxes of strawberries Great deals are with fruit that is very perishable so they need to move it quickly in bulk and the prices will reflect that. Recommend bringing a hand truck or some kind of wheels as volume adds up quickly. The parking is usually an issue as it’s on Friday /Saturday In north end. We usually park closer to the the target on the side streets as there tend to be more options. It’s a great place to go to get more healthier foods in your diet for a small fraction of the price.
Opens on every saturday. Fresh vegetables and fruits in very cheap rate. I simply love this market.
The products are not fresh and from local farms but rather from Restaurant Depot and/or Costco. I don't know why they call it 'Farmer's Market' And yes, some of them are cheap if it is what you are looking for
Great prices! Quality depends on the individual vendor, so just inspect the produce well. But you can definitely get some solid deals on fruits and veggies here. They do have plastic bags if you forgot to bring one.
Phenomenal prices and selection. The selections here are amazing, though most of the vendors have the same supplies. Prices vary quite considerably between stalls. Some places will offer a pint of strawberries for $1 while three stalls down, they might be 2/$1. I got two bunches of asparagus for $1 and five avocados for $2. I got two peppers and two cucumbers for $1. Basically, bring cash with a lot of singles and you can have a feast. If you are planning to visit Boston for any length of time, do not bother with supermarkets for produce. There, you will find prices easily four times the cost for the exact same items. There is also a fish/meat market in one of the shops alongside, but I cannot say anything about the price or selection.
Great prices! Walk around to compare. Be selective and know when you're going to eat your purchase and you'll be good. Shelf life varies so be smart.
When I think of a farmers market, I think of a place to shop for natural and organic food. However, this market is merely a wholesale and food aren't necessarily fresh. Simply put, almost every item has a sticker on them. For whatever reason, most of the food I buy here perish within days. But it really depends on the vendors. I still think it's a great event to bring the community together and you can still shop for cheaper food.
This place provides you the smaller version of experience in seasonal farms. For instance, you can enjoy apple cider and chocolates in the fall. Everyone is friendly and food are good though there is not so many choices.
I love it! I got fruit veggies for under $10. I went to the Halal store, love the people who work there. I got the bread, I don't know what it's called, filled with yummy delicious things. $3. Go on a Friday or Saturday. You will not regret it.
I never thought I'd enjoy rowing, especially in a class workout setting since I love working out by myself and doing my own thing. But this has been such a pleasant surprise and I love it!! The instructors are great (all women, woo!) and it's been so
