Farmer Boys - Fast food restaurant in Covina - 701 N Grand Ave, USA

The Farmer Boys burger experience can be quite pricey for what it offers, leaving much to be desired in terms of value. Despite the cost, the overall quality or portion size might not align with expectations, making it challenging to justify the expense.

Their microphone for drive through doesn't pick up well. After repeating my order several times, the cashier still was not comprehending/hearing my order. So I backed up the car to get closer to the machine and raised my voice to project it toward the microphone. Apparently, the cashier interpreted that as "yelling at her" (which I did not!) When handed my order by the "manager," she reprimanded me , telling me "Don't yell at my cashers." I tried to explain the situation, but she didn't want to hear what I had to say. SO: First of all, I did not yell AT anyone! I was trying to be heard , and heard correctly. (ex: The cashier heard my "bacon" request as a request for "sausage.") On top of that, the eggs yolks were broken .... and the pancakes and bacon were over-cooked. (They are also over-priced.) -- I just read several reviews which said the same things I have about poor food prep, being disrespected by the mgr/staff, and being over-priced. Maybe the owners/HR needs to re-examine the staff and their capabilities to function in their respective positions. From the reviews I read there are several problems which need to be addressed by Farmer Johns. This Covina location is giving Farmer Johns a bad reputation (look at all the reviews.)

Very good and fresh tasting food. The meat on the burger was cooked just right, very juicy and tender. The lettuce and tomato tasted very fresh and crisp. The bacon was cooked just right, crispy but not well done. The same can be said for the grilled chicken sandwich- very good and fresh. The sourdough bread was grilled as well, very good. The chili cheese fries were good. The fries were cooked just right, I personally would've had them more well done, but good overall with the chili and cheese. The fried zucchini was really good! Fried perfectly, crunchy outside and soft inside. A must try if in the area! I will definitely go here again.

This place was great but the last few times were terrible. Paid over $30 for 2 people (without drinks) and the food was definitely not worth it. I had a burger and the meat was dry and way overcooked (did they thin out the patties?!)

The food is fine, but NOT worth the money you shell out. Three of us ate lunch for $32. Nothing exuberant, but burgers. No shakes, or sides. $32.

I had the vegetarian breakfast burrito with avocado and a cup of coffee. Mona and nazara were really nice and kept the coffee coming plus that burrito was so good.

Worst food I have ever had. Char broiled chicken is a hard boiled piece of breast with no flavor and dry as cardboard. I remember back in the day they had really good food. No more.

Waited to eat one day but they would not open them and employee banged on the door. Then I guess manger came out and yelled at me to not bang on her door saying that the register was down. She upset me would not let me explain it wasnt me. The employee that did it just laughed. I knocked on the door nicely and asked for an apology and explained it was her employee. She rudely said sorry have a good day and slammed the door. Wrote and called the corporate office and was never contacted...it's been 8 months. Terrible customer service at the Covina location.
