I really enjoyed this place, but it made me sad that there are signs everywhere saying not to enter the buildings, but people don't listen. On our trip, we saw a few foreigners not following directions they were taking pictures in homes and climbing walls.
Tip: Take water and some snacks because it gets pretty warm.
Beautiful historical house! Great stop to see how people lived back in the past! I really enjoyed checking this out even though it wasn’t much!
Pretty remarkable to see what archaeologists think this area could've looked like; this was the first site we visited in the park, and were blown away by the complexity of the buildings.
Definitely worth a stop. They are right next to the parking area and amazing to see how well preserved they are.
Also, visit the other ruins nearby. It’s bit of a walk from the parking area to the Coyote ruins where you do get to walk around inside the ruins- just don’t climb or lean on the walls.
So awesome and such a great experience!
Wow so cool to see!
Cool complex of ruins. Can’t walk inside them, but there’s enough there that you get a sense of how much of an achievement this was given the time and technology. Worth a stop for sure.
The most accessible of the Far View sites and probably the most impressive looking, this site is within walking distance of numerous other related sites and is much less crowded than other areas of the park. Great place to learn about the history of the area's former inhabitants. Definitely worth a visit
Make sure you thoroughly research any national parks you're going to before taking to Google maps to post negative reviews because you can't bother to see on the NPS website that this location has been closed indefinitely for 7 years due to safety co
Hard to get tour, but we really liked it. Balcony was our favorite of the 3 offered this summer though. Not sure why it is $25 and the other 2 are $8 though. It's 90 minutes instead of 60, but certainly not 3 times better.
Not the easiest trail, but definitely worth it. Don't forget water! If it's even a little sunny, the combination of altitude and the fact you're in the desert make it less pleasant. Lucky for us, it clouded over just as I was starting to hate my life
