If you haven't tried this place, I highly recommend you do! Food is delicious and prices are great. Minestrone and loaded potato soup were so tasty. Meatloaf and chicken sandwich was off the hook.
I spent $70 and not offered any drink refills. The third time I saw the server, they had the bill in their hand. The place was empty. They need to train their staff to provide consistent service. UPDATE they over charged me, I went in and they claimed it was a hold in case I was adding a tip. I asked about the no drink refills and I was immediately told they couldn't do anything because the purchase was completed. I asked for clarification; should I ask for three drinks at once to get refills next time? And their response was "that's inappropriate." Underhanded insults are not professional. Don't talk to customers like they're your employee. So I rephrased; what should I expect next time? They simply said "That's rare" which I assume means it shouldn't happen again. And they tried to offer me a business card to talk to a superior. For what? More bad service? Underhanded insults?
I love by the pancake house ein port or hard and drive over to the Bremerton location because it's so much better and so amazing and the food is always amazing. I love this place.
Amazing food. Amazing service. Friendly staff.Good prices. Nice convenient location. They make the best pancakes. My chicken fried steak was out of this world. My wife got the Farmers Omelette and she really enjoyed it.
We had our best breakfast out in a long while at Family Pancake. Delicious food and prompt, friendly service by Korie made this meal exceptional! We highly recommend this place!
Everything was amazing service was very good until the check got dropped off. After the check was dropped off no one ever came back to the table to see if there was anything else we needed. We waited for a long time because after finishing my food I wanted more water. 😩 so instead of 5 stars fir service we gave 4.
Food and atmosphere was amazing. Restaurant AND bathroom was very clean.
My family thoroughly enjoyed our "breakfast for dinner" here. We came at a slow time, we were sat right away and our service was quick. My $6 flavored mimosa was worth it, and these were the best chocolate chip banana pancakes I've had in a long time. The breakfast sausage was awesome!! My husband got the chicken and waffles and it came with 3 huge pieces of chicken, and he said it all tasted great too. They were very understanding and kind with our toddler who wanted to walk around and throw things on the ground. The prices were very reasonable too. We will be back!!
On many occasions, we have dined at the Family Pancake House for breakfast, once in a while for lunch. On most occasions, the food is good and reasonably reliable. Every now and again, there has been a slight issue, such as over or under cooked eggs; however, the servers have taken care of any problems that had arisen.
On our last visit, I decided to change what I usually order; this time, I had a cinnamon roll. Once a year, I get a weird craving for cinnamon rolls, I treat myself with one, and then all is fine. Last year was the first time of trying their cinnamon rolls. I discovered how moist and tasty they were with the correct balance of sweet and cinnamon, last year I was in heaven eating that large warm cinnamon roll, this year not so much. This year, although looking pretty, it wasn't warmed and seemed dry, so my expectations were demolished, even butter didn't save it, and our server didn't offer to warm it.
My husband had the Chorizo omelet with no cheese; he chose fruit over hash browns and toast. He stated that the chorizo wasn't very spicy, and he ended up adding a bunch of hot sauce to compensate. Plus the salsa was lackluster; he felt the tomatoes in the salsa were bitter and not sweet like prior times of having this meal.
The restaurant as a whole seemed clean and was busy as it is typically — no large messes on the floor and no unkempt tables.
The staff was friendly, even if our server didn't offer to warm my cinnamon roll, I never ended up asking her too, but I felt it necessary to tell her at least how dry it was; none-the-less she was friendly enough.
However, their menu is overwhelming, and one has to wonder, do they need to provide 60+ items to choose from? And do people order all of those items often? I feel that large of a menu is overkill; I know they want to offer several choices. I've said in past reviews with all of those choices, something has to give, and it usually is the quality of the food.
The bathroom appeared reasonably decent, although two of the stalls were out of stool liners.
The parking lot is clean and offers quite a bit of parking spaces that are shared with a few other small businesses.
Will we eat there again? Most likely yes, many times we have dined there with no single issue, and the food was good.

Best captains platter I've ever had, and I lived in key west for 4 years! Huge thick chunks of cod, and big oysters and clams, good sized shrimp with soup, salad, vegetable and loaded baked potato. Really great service and decent prices.
