Fallen Leaf Campground in Lake Tahoe is a serene haven amid pine trees. Each campsite has fire pit and picnic table. Restroom were clean. Spacious, well-maintained sites, proximity to lakes, and hiking trails make it a must-visit for nature enthusiasts. Just remember, be bear-aware and take necessary precautions for a safe stay. Be careful especially at the trails towards to Fallen Leaf Lake 🏕️🌲🐻🚣♂️
The fact that we turned up out of the blue, when the campsite was supposedly full, but they let us use a host site that was vacant means I would have given 5 stars regardless of the experience. Friendly staff and all the amenities you'd expect. Short walk to Fallen Leaf Lake too which is a great, quiet place to relax if you're needing some peace and quiet
One of our favorites. Clean restrooms hot showers using $1.00 tokens. Sites are large and far apart. Fantastic bike path from campground all the way to South Lake Tahoe n Nevada. Visitor center just down the road. Fallen leaf lake inside campground so we are able to take kayak out calm clear lake. Trails n off road biking available too. No reception however but hey, we’re camping not scrolling !!!!
We ride here on bikes that we rent from Andersons. The trail is paved and easy to follow. Watch out for the e-bikes that are NOT supposed to use these trails. There is also a dirt bike trail alternate that makes a nice loop ride to the dam. Since we go here in the fall, it's not very crowded. I'm sure it gets busy in the summer.
WOW, WHAT A PLACE!!!!
Way better than "Camp Richardson."
We stayed there a couple of years ago. It's just overpriced!!
Wish I had taken more pictures.
DOG FRIENDLY 🐕!!!
Thanks to Scott, our camp host was super nice and helpful.
We camped at site 155 and saw several bears in the meadow behind us.
Restrooms were clean and flush toilets.
Coin operated showers, but not expensive. 1 token for 3 minutes. 1 dollar per token.
We haven’t been to FLL campground for many years. It’s still one of the best places we’ve ever camped!
With very few improvements over the past 14 years, the trailer waste dump site is a great improvement! On the other side, campsite pavement is in terrible shape.
Employees are friendly and helpful. Showers are warm and a good deal with one token buying 3 minutes of warm water.
If you’re using a tent, USE BEAR BOXES! We saw a bear sniffing around tents around 6:30am.
The only negative part of our trip to FLL was the RUDE CALIFORNIA drivers.
Finally, if you pack it in, pack it out! Sorry to see trash, clothing and even full doggie poop bags along trails.
We had a wonderful stay at fallen leaf campground. We stayed here for the first time this summer. The sites are larger than most, you are not right up against your neighbor, which was a pleasant surprise. The bathrooms are clean with flush toilets and there are showers that get hot. You can buy tokens for showers $1.00 for 3 minutes. The showers are clean too. I get grossed out really easily by shared bathrooms and these were a very pleasant surprise, especially because i needed to get my 2 and 4 year old in there after being in the sand and lake all day. It's only a 5 minute drive to Lake Tahoe beaches but don't waste your time, go to fallen leaf lake! It's gorgeous, clean and right there! We were on the far side of the campground from the lake and it was only a10 minute walk with all our gear and the kids in the wagon. Just bring something to suit on because the beach isn't sand it's all small rocks and wood. Not uncomfortable but you definitely want to double up your towel. There's a small store on site that sells firewood and ice and toiletries, ice cream, souvenirs etc. And all the campground hosts were super friendly and helpful. Great size bear lockers are on each site too. We didn't see any bears but they are very prevalent in the area so be ready to use the locker for everything scented! A really great place to stay, we are definitely coming back!
Lovely dog friendly campground. Take bear safety seriously! This big momma and cub was walking around looking for dinner at dusk. Thankfully the hosts knew how to safely shoo them away but I definitely had a bit of a scare when I first noticed her ambling in my direction only 30 feet or so away! Mom was pretty chill, just slowly walking around but the poor cub was so scared - once people started yelling it basically climbed up trees in between sprinting to keep up with Mom. Felt bad for them both. Keep your camp clean and keep your dogs on leashes at all times!!!

The campground here at South Lake Tahoe is in a very nice and convenient location. It is very close to all the activities, shopping, and restaurants in South Lake Tahoe.
The campground is easy to get in and out of the main gate. This is a huge campg
This campsite has over 400 sites, full hookups. They have 24-hour laundry and heated bathrooms with showers that are very clean. You'll love the location, in town, but only a few miles from the Lake.
They also have a swimming pool, playground, basket
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great.

The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!

While entering the North Lake Tahoe area, the first thing you can see is Eagle falls streaming down the mountains towards Lake Tahoe. The Eagle falls originates from Eagle lake and culminates at Lake Tahoe. There is a trail to the Eagle Lake, but we
Very friendly customer service, and not to mention dog friendly, which we love. The beer is excellent and the brew master was very polite with us. I wish I had a chance to buy stickers of the brewery as I am a collector, but it just means I will have
Brunch was good. Parking was easy. Had a short wait. Chicken fried steak was a good ratio of breading to meat. Hash brown were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. Coconut French toast was a good portion. Overall everyone was happy with what they
