What a charming place this is! My daughter and I arrived on a freezing cold night on a trip from Atlanta to Austin. When we woke up there was snow and ice everywhere. John made us a fabulous breakfast and all the coffee we could want. We knew if we needed to stay, he would take great care of us. We soldiered on but I highly recommend this lovely place (and I can be picky). The rooms are unique, the beds are comfortable and the service is welcoming and hospitable. I hope to return.

We have lived in Shreveport our entire lives and finally decided to switch things up and stay the weekend at this bed and breakfast. The customer service from Chef John was amazing, he was always friendly and helpful. When you enter the grounds your eyes will constantly move around trying to see as much as you can. Every corner and space is filled with artwork or candy/snacks. There was also complimentary coffee and wine available at all times. The style is not modern minimalistic decor but more southern antebellum collector. We stayed in the burgundy room that had a deep beautiful soaking tub which we enjoyed. Each morning at breakfast the 2 dogs made a stop at every one's table hoping we would drop a crumb or give them a rub. The breakfast was very feeling and they will ask if you want seconds. The atmosphere feels like you are going to visit your aunt/ uncles house and everyone one is welcomed, no matter your race or sexual orientation. All the guests acknowledge and speak to one another.

Jimmy & Brian are fantastic hosts. The decorations and decor was just incredible; the breakfast…… well over the top! Amazing attention to detail and so very accommodating. I had a wonderful stay. Wow wow wow. The room was beautiful, spacious.

My mom and I stayed here when I needed to be at the hospital in Shreveport early in the morning. I couldn't have imagined such a delightful little place existed, tucked away so close to the highway! The staff, the decor, the atmosphere... Perfection!! Too charming to describe - you have to see it for yourself!

Our Red Hat ladies group had our Christmas 🎄luncheon today. The decorations were awesome. The wait staff along with Mr. Harris was super. The food was delicious. They also have a cookbook with all the recipes that they served. All and all I give them 5 stars 🌟 only because that's the best you can get. Keep up the good work guys.

Nice place to spend the night. Steep stairs if you have knee or back issues but they have first floor rooms. Nice breakfast in the main house. I would recommend staying on the first floor. We have stayed in both places. Very creative decorating in the main house with lots of painting of various styles. It was quiet. We suggest booking online for best price and refunds if you need to cancel.

John was a kind and gracious host, full of fascinating stories, with sincere care for the comfort of his guests. The home itself is wonderful, full of history and eclectic objet d’art from floor to high ceiling. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful…we were sorry to not be able to finish the generous portions. Definitely recommend!

The place is in a nice neighborhood. The grounds and room weren’t kept well. The pool was dirty and the room was extremely dusty. We called for a maid to come back and obviously she was upset because she knocked the cups off the table and didn’t pick them up. I was a bit annoyed and just wanted her to go. Place was still dirty. Definitely needs a deep clean from the front door to the rooms. The place was beautifully decorated, so I was surprised to see the neglect. The breakfast however was top notch and really good. I have no idea why the ratings are so high, it is misleading.
