Fairfield Inn Kansas City Downtown/Union Hill - Hotel in Kansas City - 3001 Main St, USA

This is a little gem in Kansas City. The rooms, breakfast and attractiveness were Marriott-standard - very good. But it was the staff - from the lady keeping the breakfast lounge in perfect shape to the front desk person's welcoming nature - that made it memorable. Everyone was beyond nice and helpful. Kudos to management for having such good people!

I only stay at Marriott brand hotels and the lighting is always trash. Never balanced. Whoever holds that responsibility just should not. I enjoy the variety of free breakfast offered. The quality of some things could be better. The bed are always nice. The staff is always friendly. And I'd rather stay here than any place cheaper. It's nice. Our room did smell like the pool, though.

Great hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Parking was easy to get to. The hotel was clean and bright. The hotel staff was friendly and demonstrated genuine hospitality. Our trip was a long one and we stayed in more than six different hotels throughout and this was one of my favorites on the trip.

This is my go to hotel in downton Kansas City. It is located within easy driving (or walking distance) of restaurants. There is free parking in well maintained parking lot. The room was clean, comfortable and had the standard furnishings expected. The breakfast was typically eggs, bacon, ceral, bagels and fruit. The fruit selection was limited to only one type. Some days apples, some days oranges. My only recommendation is to bring a couple clothespins to clip your curtains closed at night to limit the light from coming in. The area is well lighted at night.

Great hotel located conveniently by son. No issues. Staff is friendly and place is clean. We have stayed here several times. Breakfast is decent, pretty same most days. Tiny but decent exercise room and a nice pool for families. Rates are decent.

Excellent location in the middle of the best part of the city. Plenty of off-street parking. Building has classic look but is nicely modernized inside, including the common areas and rooms. ALl staf encountered was lind and upbeat. Fully trained and skilled.|Our room was small for a two queen compared to newer hotels. But it still served our needs. Pillows not the best.

The hotel is in a great location. Breakfast in the morning was very good. My only negative was the jacuzzi in the room that I specifically chose this hotel for. The jacuzzi was very noisy. So loud you could not relax and listen to music while in the tub. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and sociable. My room was clean and the only bothersome noise was from a bunch of teens/young adults who got a little crazy, but chilled after I approached them about it.

A very nice hotel. The literal only thing that didn't work was our mini fridge, a practical non-issue for myself, and I only alerted as I checked out as I didn't really need it this time. I'm sure they would have fixed it up as they were super friendly and helpful! Really nice breakfast and dining area...waffles, oatmeal bar, coffee bar, milk and juices, bagels and muffins, eggs bacon and sausage...lots of options!
