Fairfield Inn Issaquah - Hotel in Issaquah - 1801 12th Ave NW, USA

Would recommend to people looking to stay in Issaquah and nearby. Being a brand new building for a 3-star hotel it was really nice and modern. You can tell some things were cheaply done and not throughly inspected during construction, which I can see as being problematic in the future. Things I liked about the hotel is the staff was really friendly and helpful plus the rooms were very clean. Giving the hotel an overall 4 stars and not 5 because of problems such as the sink drained slow, the shower handle kept falling into the hot position which was annoying, and the price per night fluctuates a lot more than other hotels for reasons I couldn’t figure out.

Newly Renovated, very clean rooms. Comfy beds. Good location. Breakfast was okay, but they could be doing with some more staff, there were definitely not enough staff on to keep up with the customers in the morning they constantly seem to be running out of things. Best part however was the bartender, Damian. He had some great chat, made some fantastic cocktails even a custom one for us based on what we liked.

We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. It’s well located, and despite its proximity to the busy roads it was very quiet. The staff was very kind, the rooms were clean, and the AC was great! The breakfast isn’t the best but it’s great if you need to grab something quick on the go. All in all, we were happy with our stay.

We stayed at this hotel while we helped my in laws prepare for their wedding. The price was really cheap. The beds weren't comfortable. Breakfast wasn't that good. Lots of things needed to be replaced like coffee and running out of food. They seemed to lack staff, really. Rooms were clean. This is a smaller hotel, it only has 2 floors.

Apparently you can put lip stick on a pig. Newly renovated, looks great but not functional. There are 4 shelves that house a refrigerator. The refrigerator has 2 settings, 2 hour quick chill and a 9 hour setting. Don’t plan on using the refrigerator for longer than 11 hours at a time. The next shelf houses the coffee pot and coffee supplies. The 3rd shelf houses the microwave. This shelf is over 5 feet from the ground. If you are short, like me you won’t be able to use it. The last shelf has the ice bucket and drinking cups. Even standing on the 1st shelf I couldn’t reach anything on this shelf and need both items. You have to stand inside the shower to turn it on. Be prepared to be hit with cold water. Water pressure is horrible. If you have long thick hair forget it. The bathroom counter area isn’t large enough to accommodate anything other than a toothbrush and toothpaste. Therefore I cleared the coffee pot shelf for my bathroom supplies. The TV service barely works. Plan on using your own devices if you want to watch TV. My parents were in the next room and had the same issues. Plus their shower leaked water, flooding the bathroom. When we told the front desk they told us the shower installer incorrectly installed the showers. So why are you renting rooms with showers that leak? Aren’t you worried someone could slip and fall?!!!! I’m disabled but don’t require a disabled room, my parents are 90 years old, despite these challenges we were assigned rooms on the second floor and the furthest distance from the elevator. For fun we counted the steps from our rooms to the elevator. One way was 250 steps. So we got everything we needed for the day, ate breakfast, and left for the day. If we didn’t do it that way it would have been 750 steps just to get out the front door. (250 to bfast, 250 back to the to get our stuff, then 250 back to the elevator). This was not fun getting our belongings to the room. We stayed here for week, the hallways got longer each day. Needless to say, we would not stay here again

Visiting family in Issaqua… Hotel was clean and appears to be newly renovated, breakfast was fine but the one big complaint we had was the water pressure in the shower. It was quite possibly the worst hotel shower (Room 246) we’ve ever been in. The water came out in a faint trickle barely enough to rinse off. It was hardly the nice hot shower we were looking forward to after a long day of travel. Also…no exhaust fan in the bathroom making the walls slimy to the touch. Clearly not what you’d expect for $300 a night! When we checked out the clerk asked how our stay was…when told, his response was…”was that the only issue?” Yeah…it was…but a pretty big one considering we were only here 12 hours! We travel a lot and usually look to stay at Marriott properties but we will be back to beautiful Issaqua but not to this place!

Location is PERFECT!! Lots of restaurants and places to eat nearby. A grocery store across the street to walk to. Costco and Safeway within 5 min and Lake Sammamish across the main road. Quiet hotel. Offers free parking. Only a two story hotel that has been renovated. Our room smelled of stale smoke. The shower has to be turned on while inside of it. Wish it has the faucet at the door. Front staff was very unorganized. We had two rooms. I messaged in at 9am and was told our rooms would be ready by 12pm. So we went and got breakfast and arrived at 12 to the hotel. Upon arrival our rooms were not ready. We were put on a list that they would be done soon since we were there in person. We preferred adjoining rooms since we were traveling in a group. We only needed one room of two ready just so we could store our bags and freshen up from a long flight. Communication was AWFUL. We FINALLY got into our room at about 4pm after all was said and done and while the rooms were next door, they were not adjoining. Front desk told me that housekeeping has their own management and they couldn’t coordinate to work to get our room ready. We only stayed one night. Got approved for a late checkout so one of the people in our group could sleep after running a marathon. He was awaken by a knock on the door from the manager asking why we were still there. Ummmm because your front desk approved it!? Communication and organization absolutely needs to improve for this hotel to thrive. I travel all over the US and stay in Marriott hotels each time. This was one of the most frustrating experiences I have had. We also had issues with the tv signal going out while watching it. I saw another reviewer mentioned the same thing. My room that smelled was 149. The tv in 147 had the issue. We never turned on the tv in 149. AC in the rooms were cold. That was a plus!

Room was very quiet given that it's in a busy shopping area. Comfy bed and room was clean. However our mini fridge wasn't working nor was the phone working. Front desk staff were professional but not very friendly.
