Fairfield Inn & Suites Tustin Orange County - Hotel in Tustin - 15011 Newport Ave, USA

Stayed here for a few nights. Was in town for a chopper show 20 min away, so can’t really review the surrounding area. Starbucks within walking distance but was under construction at the time. Had comp breakfast that was pretty decent. Included a waffle maker, cereal, eggs, sausage and juice. Rooms were nice and bathroom was spacious.

The location is ideal for traveling between Irvine, Orange, and Anaheim. There are numerous shopping centers, banks, and various establishments nearby. Breakfast is included, and they also offer a snack shop for the afternoons and evenings. The rooms are very clean, and the service is excellent, with staff fluent in English and/or Spanish.

This is, basically, a good place to stay. It is clean and the front desk staff is very nice and helpful. But, for the business traveler, there are two major drawbacks: ||First, they have a later breakfast time on weekends than on weekdays, arguably, because they feel people there on weekends are there for leisure. Wrong. Some of us work on weekends and this hotel also gets a lot of sports teams that need to be up and out early. As a result, they don't put coffee out until 7 a.m. when the breakfast opens -- WAY too late for early risers. There should either always be coffee available like in some hotels or the coffee should at least by out by 6. If the restaurant folks aren't in until 6, they could make the coffee first thing and have it out by 6:10 or, better yet, the front desk could make a carafe that could be out by 6. Some of us have to work early and don't want to use the dirty coffee makers in the room.||Second, the internet station that prints doesn't work. The girl at the front desk said it has something to do with a bad wall internet connection and wanted me to email my document to her. I can't email random work documents to people at hotels. I need to print them directly from my email. So... either get an air printer that is connected wirelessly and skip the desktop altogether so people can print from their phones OR get the internet fixed on the desktop OR get a wireless USB internet device so the computer can connect wirelessly if the wall outlet doesn't work. Instead, they just disconnected the printer. We are paying for that service so it should be up and running.||These may be minor annoyances to recreational travelers but are major annoyances to people who are there for work. One final suggested improvement would be to make sure the pool is really closed and locked at 9 p.m. Unless you ask, this is not enforced and it is really noise with people partying down there until the late hours.

READ THE FINE PRINT I made a mistake on the date of my booking. I tried to cancel with 2 weeks before my stay. At the mgmt's discretion, they said NO, it is our policy, no refund. Caution, if something happens and you need assistance, Marriott is not the place. There are several hotel chains to choose from, try staying at one that is willing to help.

Positive: Clean rooms, great location, not too busy or crowded Negative: Breakfast was not great - watery oatmeal, and no variation, expired milk, not really kid friendly

Of all the Marriott properties I’ve stayed this year, this Fairfield has the cleanest room I’ve been in. Great staff at check in, clean room, and cold air condition.

Excellent Stay! We drove from SF and checked in at 1 a.m. The staff was extremely friendly no matter what time it was and we had a very pleasant stay. Rooms are super clean, breakfast does not have so many options but, whatever items they serve for breakfast are pretty decent and taste good. It is in a perfect location, right next to Highway 55 and 5, there is Starbucks right in the corner and a large electronic store across the street to spend leisure time shopping. Overall, we loved staying here and we will definitely prefer this hotel if we have to come again to Tustin in the future.

Positive: Staff. Breakfast. Cleanliness. Pool, etc. And staff!!! Negative: That we had to leave and go back to Oklahoma, lol.
