Fairfield Inn & Suites Scranton Montage Mountain - Hotel in Moosic - 16 Radcliffe Dr, USA

I wanted to give this place a higher rating because of the front desk staff, who get five stars, but other aspects of our stay were not five star worthy. We arrived on a Saturday evening. The front desk clerk was very welcoming and check in was quick. A few hairs in the bathroom but I could overlook those. What I couldn't overlook was hairs on the sheets when I pulled back the covers. I don't know if they hadn't been changed or just not washed thoroughly. Either way, didn't make me want to crawl in. | Went to the front desk to ask for new sheets. The clerk apologized and moved us to another room instead without hesitation. That room happened to be a handicapped-accessible room and perhaps because of this it doesn't get used as often. Sheets were fine but there was some type of black residue (mildew?) in the toilet bowl and the room was very dusty. I was going to stay a second night after dropping my daughter at college the next day but chose to stay elsewhere. The morning clerk was helpful in cancelling the second night to make sure I didn't get charged for it.||Breakfast food selection was fine but very, very busy. Housekeeping staff was eating at the same time as guests. I have no trouble with hotel staff getting breakfast but when it's crowded it seems staff could wait instead of adding to the chaos. Also, a number of guests who had takeout the night before left their boxes/bags piled by the trash cans and this wasn't cleaned up.||This location is very convenient for college trips and I may give them another try based on staff. The weekend I was there it was a busy holiday weekend so perhaps that is why some things were not up to what I think of as Marriott standards.

Very nice hotel. Everything was very clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a very comfortable stay. Great views of the mountains too from the room. And it’s conveniently located next to a few places to get food. Would stay again.

No soundproofing so you can hear people stomping and closing their doors all through the night. No working air conditioner was 82 inside the room. Never got any room service all weekend.. pros: there was free breakfast and the staff were gud

Just spent 4 weeks in this hotel on a work trip. The people were amazing, front desk, kitchen staff, maids. One gentlemen in particular that helped me several times was great (i forgot his name, so sorry- younger gentleman). ALSO Chipotle, 5 guys, and Panera all a 1 minute walk- 10/10 would stay again.

New hotel, great location off 81. Spacious rooms, huge bathroom. Typical breakfast, but the lady who works there is an absolute gem. So helpful and sweet. Nice pool and exercise room as well. Lots of shops across the street. Will stay again.

The front desk was very helpful for the couple times that lost my hotel key. And the back patio I've never seen so many people use a back patio either it was nice to see meet some new people and that everybody was cooped up in their hotel room staring at the ceiling

I absolutely LOVE this hotel. It is Pet friendly. The rooms are comfy, the continental breakfast is delicious and the staff is beyond amazing! It is also very conveniently located, close to Montage Mountain, shopping centers, restaurants, and other entertaining places. I will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend. Family and pet friendly.
