I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Savannah Midtown and had a great experience. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, with a friendly and accommodating staff. One of the standout features was the EV charging station, which was a huge plus. The free breakfast offered a decent selection and was a nice start to the day. While the pool is on the smaller side, it was still enjoyable for a quick dip. The location is also convenient, only about 20 minutes from River Street, making it easy to explore Savannah's attractions. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a comfortable stay in Savannah.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend trip and enjoyed it! Much better value than other Savannah hotels, especially ones closer to downtown. Room was very clean, breakfast was good, service was helpful, and we appreciated the direct access to rooms from the parking deck! If you have your own car, save money by staying here and just buzzing around wherever you want to go. Parking is relatively cheap all around Savannah.

On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, I arrived at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott located at 5801 Johnston St, Savannah, GA, at approximately 7:30 PM. I have been a regular guest at this hotel, staying there every week for several months due to work commitments in Savannah. This time, I brought my service animal with me, and two days before my arrival, I contacted the hotel to confirm that service animals were welcome. I was assured by the staff that service animals were indeed accepted.||||Upon arrival, I was greeted by Ms. K. Brown, the General Manager. Unlike my previous visits where I was met with respect and courtesy as a Titanium Elite member with Marriott, I was instead treated with hostility and disrespect. Ms. Brown immediately questioned whether my dog was a service animal or an emotional support animal. I explained that my dog serves both roles and offered to provide the necessary documentation to verify her status as a service animal. Ms. Brown refused to review the paperwork and stated, "I choose not to let you into my hotel, and if I do, you will have to pay $150 per night for your pet."||||Despite my attempts to clarify the situation and show the required documents, Ms. Brown refused to accommodate me, ultimately denying me service and insisting that my Marriott status "doesn't mean anything." This experience was extremely disheartening, particularly as I have been a loyal Marriott customer for over 30 years, spending thousands of nights at their properties.||||Due to this unfortunate incident, I had no choice but to leave the hotel and file a report with the Savannah Police Department for refusing to accommodate a service animal. The stress and inconvenience caused by this situation were significant, as I spent several hours driving around Savannah late into the night, trying to find last-minute accommodation. The following day, I canceled all my future reservations with Marriott for the remainder of the year.||||This experience was not only disappointing but also alarming. I felt intimidated by Ms. Brown's aggressive demeanor, to the point where I feared for my safety. Regrettably, Marriott allows staff members like Ms. Brown to represent their brand, jeopardizing the reputation they have built over the years.||||I strongly advise against staying at this location, as my experience was both distressing and unprofessional.

Very nice staff. Allowed us to check in early. Clean rooms, great location. Plenty of parking in parking garage. Quiet. Close to restaurants stores and entertainment. Lady at front desk during check in was amazing. Super friendly. Gave us suggestions. All the staff we encountered were friendly and hospitable. Very nice place. Will be back next time in Savannah.

The hotel is clean and convenient but not anything better than average. The parking situation is rather weird. If you are staying on the 6th floor, you drive to the 6th floor of the parking garage to gain access to your room. It can take several minutes to drive to the 6th floor. Our room smelled musty every time we returned (and we stayed there 3 days). Not a good smell. The included breakfast had very limited and unhealthy options. There were grits but no oatmeal, a fatty neat and children’s cereal, but no fruit other than a green apple. The healthiest choice was a bagel. The room was rather expensive for this type of hotel, and our room was never cleaned during our 3-day stay.

We were on our way to Florida and scheduled a college visit for SCAD. Having never visited Savannah, we thought we’d spend the night. We knew this hotel was not in the historic district, but that was fine.|Our room was clean. The breakfast was the standard hotel style buffet with an egg choice, breakfast meat, waffle maker, fruit, cereals, muffins, bagels, etc. Plenty of options for everyone.|There was a small outdoor pool. The lobby was very nice. For parking, there was a multi level garage, and you could park on your floor and enter your floor directly from the garage.|Everything was great overall!

Hotel staff was excellent, breakfast standard. Room was pretty good but the cleaning staff maybe can use some more training. They overlooked some things and didn't replenish the items for the coffee area. Pool area is very small but all in all, hotel is located in a great spot. Plenty of restaurants, food areas and a grocery store all in walking distance of the hotel. There is a $12.00 parking fee for each night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in until our departure. The room was comfortable and the hotel was very clean. The variety of breakfast options was excellent. Towels are provided in the pool area for guest use.

What a gem. This is a total find. The apartment is very large and has everything you need for a comfortable visit. We were two friends, so I used the sofa bed as an extra room. It worked very well - it’s big and comfortable and, if you ask, they’
