Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was your typical fair. Good coffee. What is up with those Knatz though in the eating area? Breakfast staff very friendly and attentive. Parking at $35 seemed high to me. Room was comfortable. Good location walking distance to most stuff.
The hotel isn’t in a great area. It is near the bus station. I didn’t feel safe walking to eat. So I had to drive downtown. The hotel is clean downstairs but when I got to my floor, it was so humid in the hallway. That could lead to mold. The floors in the hallway need to be vacuumed. There was food and derby on the floor in the hallway. My room was clean except the bathroom. The bathroom had pubic hairs in the shower.
We had a good stay here - everything as pictured. We had two rooms booked, front desk staff was friendly and accommodating when we asked if we could get rooms next to each other. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was great, walkable to City Market, Riverwalk, and everything else we wanted to do. Appreciated that the breakfast is included. Overall, great value and very reasonable price.
Nice people in a good location on the edge of the historic district. Recently renovated. Small pool. Nice workout room. Good breakfast buffet. I have stayed at several of the hotels in the area and this is the best value in my opinion. Parking is expensive, I think $35 a night so I parked close by on the street for like $3 since street parking which is free 8PM-8AM. You can save quite a bit if you are comfortable doing that.
Trust me: you do NOT want to EVER stay at this property.
We were unfortunate enough to suffer through a single night here during which:
=> A homeless woman was taken out of the dining area in handcuffs after resisting arrest by the Savannah police.
=> A valet tried to hustle us into paying him for parking instead of registering the car with the hotel.
=> The hotel had a single working elevator and the other had apparently been out of service for some time.
=> The ugly room smelled of cheap disinfectant.
=> The AC unit was loud and was only able to be set to full on or off.
=> Windows (which might help dissipate some of the revolting odor in the rooms) are screwed shut.
There’s more….but after this list if you insist on staying here, your safety and comfort probably don’t matter to you. I imagine you as a hardy sort, ready to take punishment from a hotelier eager to dish it out.
For proof that this place is irredeemable, just read the hotel’s response to this review which although it isn’t written yet will almost certainly conform to the anodyne responses typical from uncaring properties: “We’re sorry. We’ll look into it.”
I guarantee you that if you stay here, many – if not all – of the horrors we experienced will still be there for you.
This place is a dump. Avoid it at all costs.
The employees were kind, but a few things I was not happy about 1. Breakfast - took them 20 mins to come get a fly out of the container. Many gnats were around. 2. I was extremely overwhelmed with the laundry service. Front desk stated you are cashless and we need to go to the gas station to get quarters for the washer and dryer which was $2 per load. Went to gas station and she told me she was only able to give me $3 in quarters. Went back to the hotel and I asked if there is any other way I can get more quarters and she said I would have to walk down to Walgreens. Not a good experience to have a cashless hotel with a cash laundry system. Another thing I wasn’t happy about is we paid for a “one bedroom” suite which in most cases this is actually a room with a door separate from living room. In our case it was just a big room. I will do my research better next time. I’ve been a Marriott member for 8 years and this was my first major disappointment.
Had a lovely experience at the Fairfield Inn and suites. Dana at the front desk was super kind and provided exceptional service. All the staff were very friendly and pleasing. The hotel is centrally located and you’re able to walk everywhere. The rooms were clean and very well stocked with all toiletries. We just loved the breakfast and they seemed to have a bit of a variation for our three day stay here. We were here for a wedding and the Fairfield Inn and suites was a best choice since it helped us get to the venue in no time at all. Very easy also for Uber access. The only issue is that the parking cost $35 a day but you can always find street parking for less. There is also a parking garage close by that you can use for parking. It was great to have complimentary tea and coffee through the day. Thank you so much, Dana for everything you did to make us stay here so memorable. We will definitely be back
During our first two nights we had a problem with the shower. It was either too cold or too hot. However, the staff at the Fairfield went out of their way to help us and the problem was fixed. We had comfortable beds to sleep in. The breakfast was good with good choices. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located not too far from the Riverfront and the historic districts of Savannah. Practically walking distance. Only downside is that it is $35 per day to valet park. Still, would highly recommend this place to all intending to visit and stay in Savannah.

Was traveling through and had the privilege of working out with a fun and talented group. The online sign up was super easy, was able to sign my waiver and reserve a class in a jiff. The gym was conveniently located and a quick walk from my hotel. T
