The women at the front desk are in need of a serious attitude adjustment. My 2 coworkers had the same experience in separate transactions. Rude and provided inaccurate information. I will never return. Aside from that, it's a great hotel with nice amenities. The rooms are great.
This place looks like new, but we were told it had been recently renovated. The location is great and it is an easy 20 minute walk to Capitola if you elect to walk. The rooms are very nicely appointed, quiet and spacious. The beds, pillows and towels are comfortable and new. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is on site and underground in a secure garage. There is a very nice breakfast included which offered hardboiled eggs, make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, sausage muffin sandwich, oatmeal with a variety of toppings, baked goods, juices, coffee, etc. Very comprehensive and with very attentive staff keeping the items fresh and replenished. |We will definitely return to this location.
Incredibly disappointed with the customer service here, or lack thereof…spoke to front desk about cancelling a reservation they said no refund, “there’s nothing i can do on my end.” but to talk to customer service and they could probably work with me on it. Great transfer me. I get transferred to someone saying, “I don't know why they transferred you here, there’s nothing i can do for you. You can submit a claim for a price match for this reservation instead of a refund.” They are twice more expensive than other hotels that are arguably better. I get transferred again to get a price match and they tell me that i would waste my time asking for the price match because its 23 hours before check-in instead of 24… never booking here again. I have never spoke with a company so unwilling to work with the guest, especially for a hotel. All three women sounded miserable, as if i was asking them to do something more than answer a phone call… oh wait . It’s embarrassing for them.
Room was nice but check in and check out was terrible- front desk staff are easily confused. Then while at a wedding during the day I had 300 dollars stolen from my room. There is no safe in the room so if you stay there strap all valuable to you all the time (leave nothing in the room)
Disappointed with Lack of Basic Amenities and Poor Customer Service I recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. One of the basic expectations I have when staying at a hotel is the availability of simple amenities like microwaveable cups or glasses to heat water for tea. However, to my surprise, the room did not have any such provisions. Although they provided a microwave, there were zero microwaveable cups. It is very basic to hope to make a cup of tea in an expensive hotel room. Unfortunately, at this hotel you will need to bring your own dishes if you intend to microwave ANYTHING! When I requested a ceramic cup or a glass to make tea from the hotel staff, I was astonished to find out that they did not have even a single cup available for guests to use and they expect the guest to have to come down to the lobby to use their ( lukewarm water) offered at the lobby if wanting to make tea! Additionally the water provided in the lobby was lukewarm, making it unsuitable for making tea. When I raised these extremely basic concerns with the manager, instead of providing a solution or showing willingness to assist, the manager chose to argue with me, displaying a lack of professionalism and customer service. He basically told me to try having better luck trying to make tea at another hotel! Seriously??? It is disappointing that a hotel of this price range fails to provide such basic necessities for its guests and that the management is not proactive in addressing customer concerns. As a guest, I expect to feel accommodated and valued, but my experience at this hotel left much to be desired. I hope the management of this hotel takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving the overall experience for their guests by providing essential amenities and fostering a more customer-centric approach before customers have to tell their experiences online by leaving bad reviews to warn new potential guests that may just want to drink a tea before bed!
We are Bonvoy members and Timber Lodge timeshare owners because we appreciate superior service, attractive lodging and overall value. We were quite pleased with the architecture and furnishings of this Capitola facility. And as used to superior service as we are at Marriott properties, we were absolutely delighted with the breakfast room! It was spotless and well managed. Staff persons Martha and Teresa were friendly, hard working and more efficient than anyone we've encountered in quite a while!
Wonderful hotel. Great staff. My room was clean. The breakfast area is very nice. Only 15 minute walk to the beach. In spite of what a previous review stated there are definitely microwavable coffee cups in the rooms as well as the lobby and also an in room coffee maker that is capable of heating up water.
We had a sister getaway trip and stayed here at Fairfield by Marriott in Capitola, our stay was so amazing!! Beautiful clean rooms, beautiful hotel and best was Derrick, he is such a gentleman and accommodating!! Everything is close by, food, shopping, a memorable stay here! Very good beer, nice staff, nice patio Despite being close to the highway, itâs very quiet on the patio (which has maybe ten tables). A choice of about ten beers on tap. We tried Pilsner, IPA and Porter. All good. Dogs welcome.
Beautiful stay. Just steps from downtown, yet private and romantic. Our room was spacious, clean and cozy; if thereâs something you need, just ask! Wonderful welcome from the owner & very accommodating staff. Breakfast was delicious. We will be ba

Super fun place to eat because there are so many options to try. The Marionberry pie was just sweet enough. Roasted tomato ficelle (clothespin thin, foot-long sandwich) was addicting to eat and gone in a flash. Line is long but well-managed by frien
Beautiful day at the beach!!! Very few people mostly walking dogs. Little breezy and sunny. Calm ocean. Few birds. Clean open restrooms. Beach itself is a bit different from last year. Winter storms took a third of the beach out and pushed the rest c

This place is amazing! We spent over 3 hours here and my son didn't get bored at all. They did a very good job at using every single space & turned each space into a different learning experience. I also appreciate them being apart of the all kids ca
Great place. Those colorful little houses give their own character to the beach. If you are lucky and you visit on a clear day you will relax under the soft touch of the sun. On the other hand if the ocean gets more tricky you will have the opportuni
