While my stay was generally comfortable, there were a couple of areas that I believe could be improved: Elevator Condition: The elevator appeared quite dated, which was surprising for a Marriott property. Given that it’s often the first impression guests get, updating it could enhance the overall guest experience. Sound Insulation: Unfortunately, I found the sound insulation in my room to be quite poor. I could hear my neighbor's TV and even when they coughed, which affected my rest. I hope this feedback is helpful as you strive to maintain and improve the high standards expected at Marriott hotels.

My wife and I along with our 11-year-old twin girls recently spent two nights at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany as our base to explore the immediate area and New York City. That said, here was our takeaway:||Lobby/first impression – On a day that it was a down pouring outside, it was nice to get off the road and settle in for the evening. We walked in to a spacious, clean lobby that presented well before being greeted by the front desk staffer. Albeit she was very polite and accommodating, she seemed a little frazzled being the only one on duty (as she mentioned to us), and understandably so. We felt sympathetic for her as she tried her best to check us in while fielding questions from guests, and did appreciate her checking us in in a timely manner. ||Location – Great location for all those looking for a stay just a few minutes from the I-287 and right off the US-46. Its also just a short drive from many shops, restaurants and other conveniences, with a CVS next door to the hotel if needed. Being just over a 30-minute drive from the Weehawken ferry terminal (for New York visitors), was definitely a selling point for us, given the sky high hotel rates the closer you get to the port. No complaints where location is concerned, perfectly suited our needs. |Rooms – While there was an issue with our originally booked room (water leaking from the outside window onto the carpet), the lady at the front desk was more than happy to accommodate us and promptly switched our room to a better one. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and provided all the necessities for our stay. No real complaints here.||Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was a plus for getting our girls fed for the day, located to the left of the hotel lobby in a sunken area before you reach the front desk at the rear of the hotel. A very comfortable space with a relaxed vibe that made for a great way to start the day. Items included a cereal, eggs, sausage, etc., and ample seating. Decent breakfast.||Other stuff: While this issue may have been resolved at the time of writing (or not), be mindful of the quirkiness of the elevators, especially if your room is on the 4th floor. For some bizarre reason, one of the elevators always terminated at the third floor, no matter how many times you pressed the fourth floor button. This made for the unfortunate inconvenience of having to walk up to the fourth via the stairs every time. Funnily enough, going down wasn’t an issue, but going up always made for a bit of a lottery, depending which elevator you took up. The elevators generally seemed a little glitchy, but as aforementioned, this issue may be resolved by now… or not. |Value: We managed to get a room at a competitive rate ($126 USD), and felt it matched the quality we received in return, and much better priced than some of the other hotels in the area. As far as budget friendly New Jersey hotels go, we found this to be good value, given the astronomical rates some of the surrounding area hotels charge (trust me, we looked). To that end, we'd call the value we received a win. ||The Bottom Line – Despite some of its shortcomings (the feeling of being understaffed, a little dated), our overall stay was one that was comfortable, convenient, and overall a fairly pleasant experience. The Fairfield Inn & Suites Parsippany is definitely one of the more solid choices in the immediate area, and would recommend to anyone seeking a convenient, budget/friendly stay to explore New York City on the ‘cheap’.

The location is very hidden by trees which should be more opened because you can miss the entrance on route 46. The room looked nice and organized. I could barely sleep because I kept feeling itchy on my leg. I woke up and left to my car and noticed the bug bites on my right leg. Clearly BED BUGS! GROSS! Never coming here again! This place needs to do better. I took the elevator to go up and it was wacky and I took the stairs to go down and the lights were dimmed. It looked like a scene in a scary movie. DO BETTER!!!

Thankfully we only had to stay one night, but never again. Our room smelled like a blend of wet dog fur and vomit. The air conditioner was very noisy. It sounded like we were near the airport. A five year old could have designed a better layout for the bathroom. The grab bar to assist you to get out of the tub is placed so that you essentially have to step out onto the toilet in order to make use of the grab bar. The floor got soaked because the shower curtain was too short and not wide enough to cover the side of the tub. I have stayed at many Marriott properties and this was by far the worst.

There wasn't anything special about this hotel but it was a good choice for a few quick nights of sleep. We used this as our launch point to do a day in NYC so we didn't spend much time here. It's definitely a bit outdated in decor and looking a bit rough/aged overall. The beds were clean and fairly comfortable and the bathroom was just fine. We enjoyed the free breakfast- lots of good choices. There was a wonky elevator that would take you to whichever floor it felt like (experienced this twice). I was happy with the warm welcome and care of the staff.

Didn't notice until the top sheet was removed to reveal the comforter that there were many stains and some dirt that definitely could've been put in a washing machine for it not to be that dirty. Also with the sofa bed, the only issue was what looked like dried blood. Coming here the truth is the hairdryer kinda smelled like pee but maybe it's just how it smelled the room seems pretty ok and wiped down but it's crazy what's hidden under the top sheet I think this is the worst hotel I stayed at so far, with being generally clean, atleast my experience wasn't that great but I'm not sure if it's different for everyone else but this was my 1 night experience. Breakfast is fine. Idk i think for a hotel it should at least be sanitary enough to the point where we know what were sleeping in lol. Hope everyone reading has a wonderful day! (Pictures below of what I found). The first 6 photos were the surface of that SAME comforter that was under the top sheet that I pulled off. The last one is the sofa bed matress. I will definitely not be back here that's for sure

Good place for a short stay. I was greeted well at the reception and the room was spacious. Breakfast was much better than any other similar hotel in the USA and had quite a few varieties. Overall, nice experience and I would stay there again.

Stayed 4 nights with my husband for a gothic/ Industrial festival. Rooms are clean. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast needs to be more diabetic friendly for people who have health conditions. Very courteous staff at the hotel. I would recommend this hotel !
