Fairfield Inn & Suites Mahwah - Hotel in Mahwah - 225 Ramapo Valley Rd, USA

I didn’t quite know what to expect when I booked for last minute..I was pleasantly surprised!! The rooms were a decent size but very clean … as someone who usually skips the complimentary breakfast buffet ( I am not a fan of cereal and pastries) this beat all !!! Yogurts of all flavors and amazing toppings ( coconut ..chocolate chips ..nuts) to many to mention. They also had blueberry compote which was great!! I will definitely be staying here again … also the front desk staff were friendly, professional and personable.

Terrible decision to stay here. I’ve been staying at the Courtyard by Marriott nearby and had excellent service and great rooms. Decided to try the Fairfield this week. (All business stays in Ramsey/Mahwah). My first room had no pressure to the shower due to a faulty diverter valve on the tub. Asked the front desk to repair this morning and was not repaired when I returned tonight. Internet down 2 straight days now after promise of it being repaired by 8am today. 2nd floor elevator landing smells of dog urine. I will not be staying here again.

Staff was great! Beds are not great and should do away with double sized. But the staff was so good to the hockey! Nice hotel.

Soo, we arrive Sunday bad weather. Call talk to jessy to make sure to hold our room reservation. Super good and friendly. We arrive everything was clean. Breakfast is great hotel and hot breakfast great! No complain! Laundryroom. We stay until Thursday. Water in the morning to take a shower be patience!! Pressure is slow in the beginning but it comes no problem. If, you expect a Hilton hotel is not. But, for us was great. And the location was too. There are restaurants next to it.

Unfortunately the computers were down when I checked in. Had a 5 night stay, wifi went down on day2 and never came back. When I went to check out, they couldn't do that either, said they had to enter the whole stay over again. In the room, my view was the dumpster, the circulation in the room was bad, set the thermostat at 67 degrees and still was hot to sleep. The vanity light in the bathroom was completely out. Breakfast was very simple but good. Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The gym only had 3 treadmills (1 broken), an elliptical and a bench and dumbbells up to 50 lbs. The towels in the gym weren't stocked, so I had to get one from the pool area.

Ive traveled for work for 10 years, and in those 10 years, i must say this was the most pleasant hotel ive ever stayed in! They were so accomodating and helpful. Nicest front desk staff ive ever dealt with! Every last one of them! I stayed for a week and had to extend room a few times and they made sure i had a good rate. Rooms were very clean and very nice for a fairfield. 10/10 beat stay ive had! Shout out to the 2 front desk girls who worked diligently to ensure we had a room for our last day. Lovely ladies!

I'm pissed off, we booked this hotel over another one specifically because this one had a pool. However after a six hour drive, saying the whole time how excited I was to swim we get to the hotel and there's a out of order sign on the pool. And when we walked into our room it was the worst smell ive ever smelled. It's absolutely disgusting. Now I don't get to swim, so for the rest of the night I get to lay in my nasty room. The shower was awful with cold water and no water pressure. This place was a dump and I absolutely will not be recommending it and thankfully will never be returning.

I would stay at any other hotel in the area. Upon check-in they told me the room type I had booked was not available and switched me into whatever was available, no apologies and just expected that to be ok. In town for a work conference, the front desk told us there would be a shuttle at 8 to take us to our destination. No shuttle, and one of the housekeepers had to take us in her personal car. I went down in the morning to fill my water bottle with filtered water, and was told by the staff setting up breakfast that she "didn't have the key to turn on the water machine" and to come back at 630 when breakfast started. I dont think I've ever had hotel staff be so rude. No hot water in the room, nothing nearby. This was all in the first 24 hours. Just pick another hotel.
