Fairfield Inn & Suites Lafayette South - Hotel in Lafayette - 1606 W Pinhook Rd, USA

Hotel is under renovation and only floor 1 remains; hotel is going to be spectacular when completed. We had an issue with our room and the GM graciously and handled the problem…..this what hospitality is all about!! Staff in kitchen was welcoming and friendly and housekeeping ensured our room was spotless! It’s obvious the GM sets the tone of the hotel and takes pride in “her” house. Can’t wait to see the completed project….see you in a couple months

Very friendly & helpful staff! Location on the river & kind of central to things in Lafayette are great things for its location. Unfortunately, even with the ongoing updates, the hotel definitely shows its age. The weird room layouts & feel definitely don't fit a Marriott Fairfield at all. And the fact that a staff member told me that the building was initially being built to be an older version of a Hampton Inn, I can understand why. It needs more than just the face lifts that it's getting to make it not look so outdated & tired. And just weird. I kept feeling weird in this hotel. Oh, & the water during breakfast, for some reason, was just absolutely disgusting tasting. Other than that, breakfast was just ok. Unfortunately, they can't afford the updates that this Fairfield truly needs. Outside of that (the disgusting water only at breakfast for some reason), I'd certainly stay at this hotel again.

The rooms were so clean. Customer service was a plus. The swimming area was real nice, they even have a hot pool. They even serve breakfast.

Room was nice but not very clean the carpet wasn't vacuum and floor was steky. Was not extra blankets or pillows for the couch bed. In the hallway was smell like mariguana and 2 people were smoking Marijuana at 8:45am.

Positive: Renovations were just completed in the room, so almost everything was new. Food options at breakfast were good and the staff was friendly. Negative: Still under renovation on the main floor plus other areas. This creates additional noise and mess, but is supposed to be completed by July. Construction hours were reasonable.

Rooms are okay. Bed and pillows feel like they were made of plastic. There are some nice restaurants in the area, I definitely recommend Zorba's. Rooms were clean, I saw one little brown bug in the bathroom. Check-in and check-out was easy.

Under renovation, our room looked brand new. Work ongoing on 1st floor. It will be very nice, once finished. Good staff at the desk. Nice area, close to downtown.

Under construction as of March 2024. Decent 2 star hotel. Clean and basic. Rooms a little bit damp and smell kind of like smoke and weed but not surprising.
