Fairfield Inn & Suites Kansas City Lee's Summit - Hotel in Lee's Summit - 1301 NE Windsor Dr, USA

This may be the first review I've ever written, but I felt it necessary to set expectations for future guests considering this hotel. Overall, the experience was terrible. The breakfast was okay, and the lady serving it was super nice and hospitable, but that's the only positive thing I can say. The rooms stink, the elevator is warm and musty, and there's only one elevator, so you're either waiting for it or taking the stairs. My coworker found a mushroom growing in his bathroom wall from moisture buildup, and I had ants crawling on my bed. When I reported the ants to the front desk, the employee dismissively said, "They are tiny ants. We've had a lot of rain, and we're having a hard time keeping them out." Needless to say, I didn't stay in that room for more than 3 hours, yet they still charged me for it. Don't stay here. Avoid at all costs.

Nice foyer area, buffet area. Hallway very loud with drying fan in electrical room and the ice machine was very loud but didn't bother us inside our room. We killed a couple spiders in room and found a dried spider leg in our blanket😳😳, also found a bobby pin on the floor beside the bed .. (I don't use bobby pins). Other than that the room was nice. ✌️

I am not convinced they clean these rooms. The sheets had a weird stain in them. I also found a tick in my skin. Toilet had suspicious "brown marks" on the underside. Would not recommend. If you want a better Marriott hotel, stick to the one in Blue Springs.

Clean comfortable room. A bit noisy in the first floor but didn't hear any noise in our room. Nice breakfast, friendly service, good location, close to everything Lee Summit has to offer.

For some reason, our supposed reservation was cancelled but the receptionist was very kind and accomodating and provided us a room to stay for the nigt anyway. There was only one elevator which was little bit dirty. Room had a distinctive old building smell. Bathroom was ok. Overall, the hotel needs to be upgraded and perhaps have all the rooms deep cleaned as well. Breakfast was ok and the sweet lady was very nice and hospitable.

Positive: Breakfast staff was nice Negative: Rm 219 beds need replaced ....mattress just sinks when you lay down. TV didn't work. Posted maximum room rate $ was LESS than what I was charged; I feel I was overcharged

Breakfast runs until 10am which is dope! But, like, why does the elevator have a regular ‘ol door in front of it? -1 star cause it made me uncomfortable. Also, ice machine on first floor only.

Let me tell you a little story. This story is about a hotel that has kind, well intentioned staff, but is in disrepair and not up to snuff for the Marriott brand! This husband and wife checked into a room. The husband crawled into bed, but found his nightstand lamp didn't fully illuminate for reading and the light fixture itself was falling apart. Being capable he swapped the bulbs, but in the end it wasn't the bulb that was the problem. The next day the wife awoke and took a shower. Within minutes she found her ankles drowning in pooling water that wasn't draining. The husband sat down on the pot and found it to be more akin to a rocking chair than a toilet. Even more concerning the rocking tank may have been leaking on the floor The husband went to the front desk to speak to someone about the maintenance issues. The staff was responsive to the concerns, apologetic, and suggested they change rooms. Before they changed rooms the clerk permitted a preview of the new digs. At first glance the new room looked fine, but after four more nights it too was not up to snuff and had its own peculiar issues. The room and fixtures were also in disrepair. While the tub drained, it looked like a angry person had beaten it, with multiple porcelain chips and rust protruding. The sink too was cracked. But the most mysterious and disturbing thing was the sofa that was covered with an aftermarket neon orange cover. The husband and wife were perplexed by this cover, but too scared to look beneath it. What might they find? Would it be stained from a a bad night of partying or worse. Hopefully a criminal mystery would not be discovered? The husband and wife concluded the stay at this hotel, but vowed that they would never return. The moral of the story is three-fold. First, maintenance matters to your guests. Leaving things in disrepair doesn't earn you accolades. Second, a kind and thoughtful staff rewards you with 2-stars, instead of one. However, the most important lesson is destroyed couches need to be replaced, instead of covered up. God knows what's under there, but I can say with certainly they will let someone else find out.
