Fairfield Inn & Suites Hazleton - Hotel in Hazleton - 1 Woodbine St, USA

Time to take a break from our Walk from Calais, Me to Key West, FL so we are on our drive back to Cincinnati, Ohio. Last night we stayed at the Fairfield Inn, in Hazelton, Pa. We got there late and left early but found it to be a pleasant room and pleasant staff. We especially liked the room air conditioning system. Rarely have we encountered an ac system that kept the room at exactly the temperature at which it was set. Great bed and especially the pillows. Consequently, wonderful sleep. The bathroom left a lot to be desired in its design, very little counter space. |Will be back on the trail in a few weeks.

Was extremely nice. I had the best time there. Love the room we had huge king bed with a pull out sofa for my daughter and two TV in each room large bathroom as well. Plan to stay again soon. Also really enjoyed the breakfast.

Great Customer service from Teddy and Danielle. I checked in without any problems and Danielle offer me breakfast in the morning. The room is big two Queen beds ,fridge, iron board ,extra blankets,hair dryer and the a/c was cooling the room as I walked in. Totally in love with this hotel.

Positive: Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Negative: My husband went down to breakfast 20 minutes before it was over and there was hardly any food left. More people came in and left because there wasn't anything there

Not a 5 star hotel but good. Overpriced though. We were told by the girl at 7 Eleven that it was brand new. Hotel desk clerk said it was built around 2000 but was renovated around 2015. Comfy beds but they still have the little toddler toilets people had in the 1970s.

The manager and staff are extremely rude and unwelcoming. They don’t even bother to look up from the desks to acknowledge guests. No hot water in the showers though-out my 3 night stay, despite complaining several times to the front desk. Most marriots allow you to opt in for daily cleaning. The manager here did not. They claim to clean rooms every other day. No one cleaned my room once, for the duration of my stay, despite the manager assuring me that they would. It’s just a very poorly run hotel that doesn’t care about the experience of their guests and truly an embarrassment to the Marriott hotel chain. I am loyal to marriott, and this is by far my worst experience

My stay was one week. On the last night of my stay I returned exhausted from my duties and had to prepare everything for the next day. When trying to open the door I was surprised that my key did not work, the hotel receptionist was very friendly at all times but neither the manager nor anyone in charge of hotel maintenance was present or was present for almost two hours in which the Desperate receptionist followed the instructions to open the door that she received over the phone. The hotel really leaves a lot to be desired in terms of its commitment to its clients.
