Fairfield Inn & Suites Harrisburg International Airport - Hotel in Middletown - 4 Terminal Dr, USA

My wife and I are in our mid-70's and don't travel as much as we did previously. Typically taking early morning flights out of Harrisburg, we'll stay at the Fairfield Inn at the airport because it is so convenient. A few days before we were to leave on a flight to visit family, my wife started to not feel well. After a few days, she was tested and it was determined she had contracted Covid. I immediately called the hotel to cancel our reservation because I knew they had a cancellation policy. My call was more than 24 hours before check-in, but less than their 48 hours" policy". No one at the hotel would take my call, I could only leave a message with a reservation specialist located in God only knows where. Eventually I received a very uncaring, very cold and unpersonal email from a Gabrielle DuBois, a Front Desk Associate (not even a manager) informing me that in essence they could care less that my wife contracted Covid, the 48 policy is the 48 hour policy no matter what and I am forced to pay for the hotel room even though I did not use it! I am outraged at their lack of compassion and understanding! This is not a fly-by-night, mom and pop operation (or maybe it is...), it's a part of the Marriott Corporation, whose revenues exceed $24 billion annually. I guess with that much money, they could care less about the occasional traveler. Never again will I stay at a Marriott property. I suspect that they won't care.

Improved from previous visit in 2023! Shout out and thank you to front desk receptionist Gabby and kitchen staff Richie who helped me when I had some questions. The fitness center was clean and the cardio machines were in working order, my room was clean, hallways were clean, the staff friendly and they accommodated a later checkout due to a very delayed flight. The hotel is an easy walk from the terminal, maybe just under 1/4 mile. I didn’t get to try the restaurant as it is not open until dinner. The four stars were only because the breakfast was missing salt/pepper packets, honey packs and fresh fruit (unless I was too tired to find it) Recommend!

Arrived to restaurant before it opened. A very nice man, possibly maintenance let us sit down and told us that the bartender would arrive soon. When she arrived this nice man told her that we were early and were going to eat. We were going to eat, but after a few drinks. The manager ran over and praised this nice man for going above and beyond his job to make us feel at home. The bartender asked us if we wanted food. I said, not yet, but we will take a coke and a beer. Immediately, this miserable, self loathing, horrible woman ran into the kitchen and verbally berated the nice man, loud enough for us to hear, and ignored us. We left. I really don't care about the food or drinks, I'll eat in the airport, but I feel bad about how poorly this girl treats her coworkers. She should be ashamed of herself. Now my son feels bad like we got a good person in trouble. Thank you to the nice man and the manager. You are first class. Your bartender has no class.

This is a pretty new hotel —— at least they maintain the property very well and looks clean and modern. The beds are very comfortable (towards the firm side). When we checked in at almost 10pm, the front desk lady Katherine provided us a list of restaurants that we could order carry out, which was very convenient. The most impressive experience was that we left our iPad in the hotel room and didn’t realize until hours after we got home (we live in Virginia). From the “find my” app, I saw the iPad has been in the hotel the whole time. The next morning I called the front desk to see if I could have any luck to find the iPad. They called me after less than 1 hour to inform me that my iPad has been found and sent me a link for shipping. On the exact same day my iPad was shipped, and on the next day, I received my iPad without any damage. The ethics of this hotel staff are awesome and I really appreciate their help!!! Although it might be a little far away from Hershey park, it’s worthy the drive!!!!

I stayed at this hotel to attend a class at the Penn State University at Harrisburg which is less than five minutes from the hotel. |The staff greeted us with a friendly smile and check in was very quick. |The room was clean, spacious with a microwave and a refrigerator. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room to put my clothes for the week. They do have guest laundry facilities on the second floor and a mini store by the front desk if you forget something.|I didn't eat at the restaurant, but the beer was ice cold and the food smelled delicious. The breakfast buffet was more than i need every morning with eggs, sausage and fresh fruit as well as cereal and a waffle maker. They had juice and coffee too.|Every staff member I saw throughout the stay smiled and greeted me.|There are two computers in the lobby to assist with directions to the best restaurants or sights.

Location is literally across the street from the terminal with a walkway to the front door. Park your car and they will store it for you to pickup upon your return. Bar and restaurant is great and the rooms are new and clean. I will always stay here for that early flight.

I stayed here my last night in town before I headed home. The hotel is within an easy walk to the airport and rental drop off. Did not try the restaurant, the only issue I had and 4 more of my group they charged us for parking and we didn't park a vehicle. When I checked out at 6am the night shift person said they was unable to remove the charge so we had to call back later....

F this hotel. It's 10$ per day while you stay and it's 30$ per day of your trip. The airport garage parking is only 20$ per day. I will never stay here again and I recommend nobody ever considers staying here. When I made the reservation on the phone I asked about parking and if I could walk to the terminal. She said yes and you can take care of parking at checkin. I feel swindled. Disgusted with this hotel and Marriott.
