I made a 1 night reservation while enroute after checking reviews. I checked in at the front desk around 7 pm. The agent was polite and personable. She wrote our room # on the card sleeve, along with a restaurant recommendation. Rather than go to our room, we opted to grab dinner first. Upon return, I used the keycard to unlock the side entrance and proceed to our assigned room . The card would not unlock the room door, despite multiple attempts. I returned to the front desk and was given new key cards. I returned to the room and was able to unlock the door, but could not open it. Imagine the mutual surprise experienced by me and the other woman who was already in the room, apparently already retired for the evening! Yes, we had been assigned to an already-occupied room. Fortunately my husband had remained at the car to make a call, so hopefully I did not frighten her too much. Back to the front desk I go…where we were assigned a new room. ||The new room was unoccupied (yay!), clean, with a large bathroom and walk-in shower. The a/c was a bit loud throughout the night, but once asleep I was not terribly bothered by it. Breakfast was served until 9:30 am, and with a noon checkout (an unexpected nicety), we decided to breakfast first, around 8, and shower and pack afterward. Breakfast was unremarkable, and I had to ask the attendant for more coffee when both urns became completely empty. My husband was first in the shower and discovered water pressure was barely a trickle. I contacted the front desk who told me there had been no reports of water issues from other guests, and that the maintenance staffer would not report until 10:00. The solution offered was to be assigned to another room in order to shower. I was not offered any discount or refund until I specifically requested some monetary consideration for the inconvenience…a $20.00 refund against the room charge or additional loyalty program points. Packed up toiletries and belongings, and proceeded back to the front desk for the 4th set of keys during the 1 night stay. Unpacked toiletries, showered and repacked in order to depart. ||We were initially very pleased to find this facility and location, and did not anticipate the number of snafus we experienced.

We were a little worried after reading some of the prior reviews. No need to worry, Everyone at the front desk was super helpful and friendly during our 3 night stay. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good, pool was refreshing and comfortable. One complaint is the water pressure in the showers... that was frustrating. Overall a great stay- great location which was convenient to get to Hilton head or Savannah or Parris Island- and for significantly less money per night.

5-stars because at this price point they did an outstanding job of delivering a quality hotel stay. Room was super clean and quiet. Hotel parking lot would have said it was a full night. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Plenty of outlets for our electronics and even two nightstands next to our king bed. Lots of hotels think one is enough. Room was cool upon entry and had good black out shades. Front desk arrival could have been more interactive with me as she did not welcome me and said “Give me your ID”. While located right off the interstate there was enough trees and margin of land to prevent road noise in our room. Starbucks is immediately next to property too!!!

This was a quick overnight stop on our way to FL and we were very pleased. Everything was clean & comfortable, along with friendly staff and a good breakfast. We had a pool-view room and really wanted to swim but unfortunately there were thunderstorms so we couldn’t. The pool looked great! The area around this hotel (and others nearby) is a tad on the seedy side but if you stay close, it’s fine.

The rooms were surprisingly spacious, offering more than enough space to spread out with our luggage after a long day of travel. The large picture window showcased a beautiful view of rolling woods, adding a serene touch to our stay. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, battling the sweltering 85-93 degree temperatures and keeping us cool and comfortable. The staff, particularly Jamie and Tiffany, were fantastic and attentive to our every need. The location provided easy access to major highways, making it convenient for exploring the area and getting to our destinations. There was ample parking and lot was well lit for safety. However, a significant drawback was the constant hum of a generator outside our room, which significantly disrupted sleep throughout the night. Upon initial entry, a musty odor, possibly from the carpeting, was noticeable. Additionally, the shower door's rollers malfunctioned, causing it to roll open unexpectedly while showering and the water pressure was weak. The stay was worth the money; however because of the musty oder, we may not stay here again.

We stopped here for the first time on our drive up north from Florida and were so pleased we ended up staying with them again on the way down. Clean updated hotel with good breakfast. Staff were all kind even when dealing with the nationwide computer outages. Very convenient location being right off 95 and sharing a parking lot with a Starbucks and several restaurants. Will be back!

The hotel is fine. My complaint is with the management. I did make a mistake of making a booking error and booking a week later than when I intended to stay. I found out about my mistake upon checking in. During this time I paid the current rate (which was $73 more than the rate I pre-paid). I was told I couldn't get a refund for the original date I booked at that time, but was given the manager's phone number and email to speak with on Monday. As the owner, they have discretionary power to provide refunds under certain circumstances (booking errors being one). When I called Monday, I asked for the manager/owner. I was asked who I was and what the call was about before being transferred. I explained the situation. After being put on hold, the same lady came back, not the manager, and was I was told "sorry, we can't provide a refund as it was pre-paid". At the same time I called, I simultaneously emailed the manager/owner describing the situation. The owner/manager thus had my name and contact information in email. Even if the manager was too busy with something that needed to be taken care of at that time, they could have returned my call or email. I never received a follow up call or email. At the end of the day, at minimum I expected to at least have a conversation with the manager/owner to have them explain to me why a refund opportunity wasn't on the table. It wasn't as if I was trying to get out of staying there entirely, in fact, I still stayed there and paid more than my original booking. But I wasn't given the common courtesy to even discuss. As a Bonvoy Gold member, I tend to seek out Marriott properties. I know I won't stay at this hotel in the future, which is the halfway mark between my house and my parent's in Florida. My return trip skipped this spot versus staying there again. Instead of building goodwill and cementing future stays with this hotel, the exact opposite occurred.

Best free breakfast! Homemade scrambled cheese eggs and waffle iron. The coffee was delicious too! My room was quiet and comfortable. Great location for an overnight stay on my drive to Florida.
