Fairfield Inn & Suites Charleston North/Ashley Phosphate - Hotel in North Charleston - 2540 N Forest Dr, USA

I stay at this hotel each time I return to Charleston after a thirty year residence there! I find the hotel clean & comfortable, the location is central with easy access to 526 & 26 to get all over the area and the breakfast has always been good. I have found a nice walk around the hotels in the area to begin my morning.

WORSE HOTEL EVER IN MY LIFETIME…WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I obviously did not do my homework as I usually do. I reserved 2 rooms 4 hours prior to arrival. First thing I saw was a hotel across the street with fencing topped with barbed wire. I approached the front desk and requested a cancellation but they said no (company policy). I have been staying with Marriott for many years and on upper floors. This is the first hotel that did not accommodate that request in my profile. I believe it was deliberate because I told the representative I did not feel safe. I called Marriott customer service and they said there was no reason they did not accommodate an upper floor because they had plenty of rooms. They still would not. We left the hotel and did not stay (lost $250). Lobby looked dirty and now that I am reading the reviews, the place is obviously filthy and full of bugs. Marriott will not do a thing. Corporate refers you back to the hotel operations manager who is useless. Marriott is not the same company since merging and becoming Bonvoy. Moving on to Hilton!

Great buffet breakfast! The food was very tasty, freshly made and plentiful. 12 minutes from the airport and 20-25 minutes to downtown Charleston. Checkin was very quick with a very personable front desk agent. Will be staying there very soon.

wish i could rate negative stars but i cant. worst experience ever. bugs everywhere in our room and the staff said there is nothing they can do about it since they come through the air vents. found some blood or something on our blanket. Cops there almost every night which made it very uncomfortable for me and my daughter. They upgraded me to a different room due to my frustrations and that room there was a plumbing clog. I had to purchase drano twice since the staff was unable to help and plus i was just tired of going back and forth with them. Although, one staff member was very helpful during the switching room process. she even came up to my room and helped me move to the next. overall this was a horrible experience. I would not recommend anyone going back.

Not great but not horrible. Staff seemed inappropriately dressed for a Marriott and first floor guest bathroom was a mess. Hate that I wasted points on such a mediocre hotel. Room was adequate at best.

I would in no way recommend this hotel to anyone. I had the worst experience at this hotel while traveling for work. I had to be moved 3 times. The first room had the smell of smoke, the second room had roaches (one of which I found on my pillow) and the third room had stained sheets with god knows what. The only glimmer of hope for this hotel is its staff. When I went to them with my concerns, Leah and Ebony were spectacular, they were kind, empathetic, and went above and beyond to help me and get me as accommodated as possible. Even after I made the choice to switch to a nearby hotel, Ebony (who was the last associate I worked with) ensured that she had exhausted all of her options to help me. After having such an egregious experience, I was super grateful for them for doing all that they could.

Possibly one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. There was loud music in the room next door, the pack n play they gave us had brown grime all over every side of the netting, food on the wall behind the bed, surfaces not wiped and sticky, trash on the floor behind the bed, tub was from the ghetto, and there was only one person working on a Fri night so we were not able to get any help to resolve our issues. We checked out within a couple of hours of check-in and found a different place to stay. We left behind a baby blanket and a few clothing items. When my husband returned to retrieve them less than 24 hours later, they were neither in the lost and found nor in the room. When I called to talk with the manager, the operations manager said I ‘might get a call back tomorrow, if the general manager is available’. Also, location is in a sketch neighborhood.

Upon arriving the front entrance door was close. Between 7-8 Am.. the only way i could of get in is with a key card. Which I didn't have one Because i left it in the room with a person Im a caregiver for. That is unprofessional. It could of been an emergency. I check on My caregiver almost everyday. My patient has stage 5 cancer. Also the lady that normally does the breakfast in the morning. Makes me feel very uncomfortable standing behind me watching me fix food. Why is that?? If the food is for customers that has reservations. Breakfast attendants should be attending breakfast. Not making customers feel unease. Housekeeping is not checking with Stay overs. Never give towels. Always told to go to front desk. Why? If a person is disable how are they going to do that. I also clean my patient room. I ask for cleaning supplies. & housekeepers act like thats a problem. Im not understanding I'm doing they job for them. Inconsiderate & No appreciation & whatsoever. My rating for this hotel is very low. Very Poor service.
