The Fairfield Inn in Kingsburg CA is a poor choice for your lodging needs..||We have spent over 3000 nights in hotels. For a Marriott property this one sucks. We reserved a king room ground floor 6 weeks before the arrival date. We called them and reminded them two days prior to our arrival. Guess what? No availability at 3 PM on day of arrival. They assigned us a crappy, noisy, very small room near the stairway and would not offer even a partial refund since our reservation was "second party" through Hotels.com This room is really a double size bed room with a king mattress stuffed into it. You can't walk in the room without banging into furniture. If you are an inexperienced traveler with one of those yappy little lap dogs you will like this place. We will stay next door at the Motel Six for 1/2 the price when next in this area, and get far better value. We contacted the hotel direct about all this. Andrea, supposedly the G.M, was cordial and business like. She offered her apologies but no resolution to any of the issues. So. her staff will continue to blunder along oblivious to customer awareness.

The room was moldy and the wall ac’s are filled with mold and dirt carpets are saturated with pet feces and the mattresses let me not start with the poop and pee spots that haven’t been cleaned in what looks like months . Forget asking the racist manager Monika she’s no help and made me feel like I was asking for to much . They have mold on the ceilings in the lobby and in the hallways on the 1-3rd floors . Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place unless you want to over pay for the same service motel 6 offers . Management is poor the outside looks nice but the rooms are terrible. The housekeepers are ok the breakfast was nasty the prepare the eggs in the microwave as well as the sausage yuck . Oatmeal was to thick and the apple juice has something floating around the bottom of the cup . All in all I’m very disappointed this place is a wreck

Nicely renovated hotel with a good staff and free breakfast every morning between 7-9:30am. Word of warning, request a room that does not face the highway. This hotel does not have double pane windows and is very loud at night. If you are a light sleeper beware.

Really great service! Here for a business trip and had a really good experience with the staff and the stay. Would definitely recommend choosing this place over any other hotel in the area. Great location, quiet, good fresh breakfast, great staff.

Came for a wedding and stayed here. We were pleasantly surprised to see a hot breakfast! Each day there was a different egg dish (scrambled, omelet and in an English muffin), sausage patties, cold and hot cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, fruit cups, OJ, apple juice, bagels and cream cheese, PBJ, scones and muffins! Very impressed as it was beyond my expectations. Housekeeping tends to your room every other day. Staff was very attentive and helpful with shopping suggestions. I would stay there again.

Older property and quite dark and dated furniture. Room had a damp mildew smell as soon as you walked in. |Pool and jacuzzi were nice. Breakfast standard Fairfield.|As others have said it’s by a very busy freeway so ensure you get a room at the back of the property.

NO MAID SERVICE. BUT THAT’S THE LEAST OF THE ISSUES…Super disappointed in our 4-day stay here. It’s hard to know where to begin. What stands out most is the way staff reminds you how busy they are. I know it’s hard to find good staff, and I do have sympathy, but let people know ahead of time if you’re not able to accommodate guests. We’d have gladly stayed elsewhere! Breakfast is just weird. The host told a guest she really didn’t want to bring out more breakfast items they requested because she likes to shut down an hour before the posted end time. Oatmeal is a watery mess. And when I went to pour milk on my oatmeal, it was completely curdled, gross! The host apologized and said she missed the use by date. The coffee is not very hot but it tastes ok. On our second morning, we went to the front desk and asked if they could have someone clean our room because they didn’t on the first night. The woman at the front desk unapologetically told us “they should’ve told you when you checked in that they only clean every other day.” OK, can they clean today? Her response “yes I’ll have them put you on the schedule.” We got back late that night and no sign of maid service. My husband called the front desk, and the very sweet young man there tried to explain to us again that we were within the every other day window, even though this was our third night. He was friendly and did bring us fresh towels. Our room had a bathroom door that opened the wrong way and a broken closet door. AC shuts off at night and if you try to change anything, the heat turns on. So, when we mentioned this at checkout, the desk clerk said, "Oh yes, our AC is 'body sensing' and determines when AC is needed." (It was 103° outside during our entire stay and barely cool in the room.) Babies screaming in the hallway early every morning, audible from the room. There’s a fan blowing in the hot/humid 3rd floor hallway. TV remote was sticky and barely working. The whole place seems dated. Probably won’t stay here again. We had a much better experience at Selma Holiday Inn a few weeks ago for the same price.

Got upgraded to one of the bigger rooms that has a living room. Quite spacious for two young kids.
