Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott LaPlace - Hotel in Laplace - 944 Belle Terre Blvd, USA

The hotel/location itself was fine. Beautiful lobby; grounds are well taken care of. And the location itself feels very safe. The room was nice but I have one huge complaint. THERE WAS MOLD IN THE BATHROOM. Alot of it. Its along the ceiling and the top of the walls. We did not notice it until we were about to checkout as we were making sure we had all our belongings. I brought it up to the front desk but we were told that housekeeping would be notified. But im not sure if this is a simple housekeeping issue as the mold is located on the ceiling. There was so much mold that this had to have been a buildup of mold over time. We stayed in a room with a moldy bathroom for 3 nights and only noticed it later due to the tall height of the ceilings (the ceilings are very tall). But this is a serious health hazard, I am hoping to be contacted (emailed) by management as I do have pictures. Pictures attached.

We have been using this hotel for a few years now for our employees. The hotel is in a good location, clean and has a great staff. The front desk is always friendly and helpful and have excellent customer service skills. Mel, in particular, is so bubbly all the time. Thank you for making my employees feel at home.

Hôtel vraiment très bien situé pour aller aux plantations.|Chambre fonctionnelle, assez grande et agréable, petite penderie mais de nombreuses étagères. SB agréable avec grande douche.|La chambre 101 est côté route et parking. Le système de ventilation dans la pièce à côté était très bruyant.|Ne restant qu'1 nuit et étant très fatigué, cela ne nous a que peu gêné.|Personnel très sympathique

I've stayed nearly 600 nights in Marriott properties in the past decade- this is the first time I've ever left a one star review of one. We booked this hotel as we were getting in on a late flight, hoping to get more sleep closer to our work. We checked in around 1 am, I immediately went to sleep. My fiance took a 5 minute shower, and once she had gotten to bed, the fire alarm went off. We called downstairs and were immediately told we shouldn't have taken a shower if we didn't want the fire alarm off, and that if we set it off, we needed to fan the alarm until it went off. Needless to say, the alarm went off for 30 minutes. Other guests came into the hall and threatened us for "smoking in the room" (I've never smoked in my life). After 45 minutes, we finally got the front desk agent to turn the alarm off, after she blamed us yet again for taking a shower and asked "what do you expect when you stay in a hotel?". We ended up paying to get much less sleep than we would have otherwise gotten. After escalating with Marriott, the hotel offered what amounted to 15% of the cost of a room night in points. Just a wholly unacceptable stay and resolution.

Literally the best hotel to stay in in the New Orleans area, even if it's a bit of a drive from the city. Cleanest rooms ever. I have stayed here multiple times and I am just now writing a review because of how great it is. The rooms are always clean, tidy, you can tell a lot of work went into cleaning each space. There's not even lint or fuzz on the sheets, it is just amazing. Never any stains or strange spots, everything is wiped down and spotless upon entry. Whenever I had an issue with my room (once I was unable to accommodate my sister because the couch-bed was not in the room we were shown to) they fixed the misunderstanding immediately for us, no charge, no fuss, and it helped us relax so much from our long travel. I love the service here, the breakfast is great, the staff are so helpful and I love knowing I have a clean and safe space I trust for my belongings. Cannot recommend this hotel more. Not to mention its located on a mostly remote street. I love being secluded, not much car traffic at all.

My job booked a stay here for me in late November while doing some training, super awesome experience. Whole hotel was clean, spacious and relaxing. My room was beyond what I'd expect. Mel deserves a raise! From the moment I walked in I felt at home. She made me feel like we knew each other from her vibe. I was ashamed to admit I didn't remember her, until i realized she's just being nice lol.

Great location for staying just outside New Orleans. There is shopping and fast food nearby. The pool was really fun, the workout room was spacious and clean and the rooms were clean and updated. The hotel seems pretty new so everything is pretty clean. The breakfast wasn’t very good. There weren’t many options and things kept running out, like milk, etc. there were no waffles or fruit. The staff was efficient but not friendly. We used the lobby to play games and asked if they could change the channel but she said she couldn’t and the she kept coming over to watch it. All of the other Marriott’s we stayed in would change it for us.

Good place to stay for hospital contract jobs in the city. Nice, clean, and quiet during the day for nightshift workers to be able to sleep. Mel will go above and beyond to work around your scheduling needs with a great attitude!
