Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Kansas City Airport - Hotel in Kansas City - 11820 NW Plaza Cir, USA

We stayed here one night as we were flying out early the next morning. This hotel seems to have been recently renovated and it is nice, and very convenient to the airport. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. And the bathroom had a nice big shower with a big shelf for toiletries. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 as we could hear the person in the next room talking. Did he have a loud voice? Or are the walls thin? Maybe yes to both. Breakfast starts early (6am during the week) and looked good but we did not eat. Staff at reception were very nice.

Two stars only because the room had been recently renovated. However, not much else was good about the stay. I called for a pick up from the airport, front desk staff told me someone would be there in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later I called and the same staff member said, "Oh, I called the van person but it went to voicemail. Sorry, I'll try them again." Someone finally showed up 15 minutes later. Upon arriving, the same front desk staff member did offer me a snack, but was definitely acting cold, even though I didn't say a word about the incident. While the room was newly renovated, the window was still covered with a film so it felt boxed in. I was also told the pool was closed but I could go to another property to swim. I don't mind at all working around renovations as they are needed for a property to keep up things, but they should just make sure patrons are told at the time of booking. The workout room was nice.

This is a hotel under construction for renovation. It's a disaster of a place. The women at reception have no idea about breakfast times. They said it would be from 7:00 to 10:00 in the morning and it was until 9:00. Plus, they make fun of you because there was no more breakfast! Never ever come to this place!

This was exactly what I needed. It was close to the airport. It was priced right and clean. They offered a good breakfast selection. The people were kind. They are renovating. I got in late and woke up early. I could not hear the traffic from the road.

Bunch of construction blocking normal entrances . Major pita. Barely enough parking without construction blocking spaces, even worse now. Breakfast was OK. Could have beenufh better with little effort. Only sausage the few days we were there, no bacon . Room was OK. They tried to HIDE the microwave and fridge by putting at floor level in a cabinet...FAIL . I hate having to get down on my hands and knees to access the appliances . I did like the pump shampoo and body wash in the shower . That was a good thing. But for the price, and inconvenience I'll probably go to Extended Stay next time where I can access the lobby and stand up to use the ref.

The rooms were in great shape. The breakfast had a good hot selection of items. Even with the construction on the outside, everything was clearly marked.

I would have given a 4 star if it were not for the evening driver that picked me up from airport. Van the was one where you need to take your bags up the stairs into the van. The driver saw me struggling to get two heavy bags up but she was too busy on her cellphone on a personal call. Then she drove while on cellphone and drove erratically while on phone. I asked her to get off cellphone because of her driving. She ignored me and then went 70 mph exiting airport. When we got to hotel and van was in parking area I told her she she not be on phone. She was very rude. She opened door while van was still moving before letting me ou. Not the way you treat senior citizens. Manager really seemed unconcerned.

Rooms were gorgeous, newly renovated. Problem was that the rest of the property is still under construction. As of Labor Day weekend 2023 still working. CALL AHEAD. Marriott did us a solid and move us to one of their properties across the parking lot. Kudos to them and property management.
