Fairfield Inn & Suites Auburn Opelika - Hotel in Opelika - 2257 Interstate Dr, USA

Came here for a one night stay for a tennis tournament. Stayed the other nights at the Grand National Marriott nearby. Customer service here was excellent. The room was very nice, comfortable and spacious. The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent- waffles, eggs, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, coffee and fruit juices. The location is walkable to many shops and restaurants. I would stay here again.

Stay for a couple of nights during summer. Overall it’s a great experience. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. The cleaning services are great as well. But sometimes there were awful smells in the corridors. Given the prices of the hotel, the amenity provided is not bad, though there’s still room for improvement. The breakfast is mediocre but could fill your stomach. The location is excellent, walkable to nearby restaurants.

We booked a two queen room, but when we arrived, they had given our room away. They ‘upgraded’ us to a single king and a pull-out couch, which my son said was NOT comfortable. I went down for breakfast at 8:45 (it closed at 9am). They were out of almost everything. There was nothing left except cereal and oatmeal. When I finally found someone and asked if they were going to put more out, they said ‘breakfast ends at 9.’ Very disappointing, and very poor experience. The room was clean, so that’s why this isn’t a 1.

Positive: The cleanliness and the friendly staff were phenomenal. It was also very cost efficient! Negative: There was a smell in the room that wasn?t the most pleasant

This has been my first experience with a Marriott hotel that has been completely unacceptable. Over the many years I’ve stayed at Marriott locations to finally reach platinum status, to be provided a room that had holes in the walls prior to me and charge incidentals is a bit ridiculous. I’ve waited over a week to get no response from management at the facility upon checking in this particular hotel flying into town for my brothers funeral. The last thing I was doing was looking for holes in a wall and double checking their work to let them know that it’s a hole in this wall prior to me getting this room. I strongly feel I was provided a room that was off-line and already damaged, as my original reservation I booked for the following Sunday with everything going on by mistake. When trying to correct and change the date on Bonvoy app for May 12, 2024, no rooms showing a two bed and sofa was listed however, the associate at the front counter stated they did have one for whatever reason it took him about 5 to 7 minutes to make whatever corrections and updates to select this particular room. the lack of communication, cleanliness, and oversight from the staff at this facility is unacceptable and very unprofessional.

TV did not have any reception, except the house channel with the Bonvoy ad. Attempted calling front desk, but room phone didn't work. Tried calling the loccal number and no one answered. Went to front desk and no one was there. I gave up after three attempts. Spoke to front desk in the am to hear same old excuses, Sorry I wasn't here so don't blame me. I'll tell my manager. I'm personally feed up with hotel excuses of come back so we can show you we've changed. I'm looking to be Comped by points or discounted rate for hotels sub standard service.

Exceeded my expectations. Quiet, comfortable, modern and conveniently located. The staff worked quietly behind the scenes, yet were readily available when a need arose. Breakfast was excellent and delicious coffee available all day.

The rooms here are great for the price. The free breakfast was solid as well. I think this is a good spot to stay for travelers.
