Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Cortland - Hotel in Cortland - 3707 NY-281, USA

As Bonvoy Platinum Elite members, we generally don’t go to the Fairfields of the brand unless we absolutely have to but in the case of Fairfield Cortland, I would come back here in a heartbeat. We came to town for a college baseball tournament. This hotel is fresh, clean and sparkling. They comped us waters and left a lovely note. The front desk workers were all attentive and friendly and the housekeeping was great. My son even remarked on how good the hallways smelled. The breakfast was just fine and the fitness center was clean. The area itself is a bit sparse on food options but that’s ok. We also loved the free parking which was never crowded and super convenient. Thanks Fairfield!

Location is a short distance off highway 81 but it's easy to access. There is a grocery store and some restaurants near by. Stayed one night at the hotel which was less than half occupied. The night was very quiet. Check in was fine and got an upgraded suite as a Bonvoy Gold Elite member. ||The hotel was recently renovated and the suite was clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable for the night. ||Complimentary breakfast in the morning was adequate. Food selection was fine for the price point of room rate. We were pleasantly greeted by simple but nice / healthy choices. We were mindful this is not the Ritz Carlton or St Regis hotel so we managed our expectations accordingly. Staff was very friendly and quick to replenish anything missing. ||Check out was smooth and easy. Joannah at the front desk did an excellent job and she was very helpful. ||Will definitely come back and stay at this hotel.

There really is something to be said about a friendly, efficient staff in the making of a great stay! Everything we threw at the staff was handled great!||The room was large, bathroom was good, nice fitness area; the pool was very small but nice. The breakfast was a plus as well!||That said, the negatives were that the pool temperature was very cold, the shower water pressure was just OK, and the mini-fridge was very mini. It doesn't look that small from the outside, but it was quite small on the inside.

We stayed at this hotel during a road trip, it is conveniently located for a drive between New York and Toronto and decently priced. We got adjoining rooms, which was perfect for our large family. The breakfast is decent and there are the usual amenities. Staff is friendly. The only thing I'd change is the option to pay in cash for items from the hotel store.

Great hotel and staff. One comment to provide better experience is that the hotel bedroom had air conditioning but not in the living room so it was hot in that side of the room which was an inconvenience to those in that section of hotel room. Should have central air

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Ithaca and Niagara Falls. The hotel room was clean. They provide decent breakfast spread not that great (bagels, waffle, scrambled eggs, fruits, juices). They don’t keep basic sliced bread though which we thought should be added and no microwave in the breakfast area.Overall decent stay

Beautiful, clean, very accommodating hotel!!! Curt helped us navigate a with a third party!! He was excellent and far exceeded expansions!!!! Breakfast was delish!! Pool was clean and warm. Fitness center was large and clean.

I booked a king bed suite, ended up with a twin queen suite, the beds look like they were thrown together, I went down to ask about the room not being what I reserved, no staff at the desk, not wanting to wait I went to my vehicle to get the rest of my luggage, came back, no staff at the desk. The breakfast was terrible, the only coffee was decaf, there were kids running up and down the hallway all night. By far the worst experience I have had in a hotel in years for $275 a night. Would not stay there again.
