FairBridge Inn Express Baton Rouge - Featured Reviews (119)
Positive: There isn't anything about this hotel that is good. Maybe the price that's it. Negative: Yes everything. This hotel is horrible. They had bugs everywhere, no toilet paper, soap had to buy myself, one towel to use to shower, very very dirty sheets where dirty had stains all over them. Absolutely a horrible experience. Negative: ""
Positive: Nothing. Clerk was helpful Negative: DIRTY. Tv didn¿t work Smelled strongly of mold Bugs. Overall deplorable. I just needed a few hours rest before continuing my trip. I left in an hour. Horrid. Looked like a crime scene Negative: ""
I felt compelled to write to try to offset some of the ridiculous negative reviews. Also, I'll preface this by saying that my rating takes into account the price. I feel people should temper their expectations and be more realistic. If you pay for a used Honda Civic, then don't expect a new Tesla. The room had a functional mini-fridge, a television (with ESPN amongst others) and a microwave. I've stayed at places 4x the cost that didn't have all three of those. I've been a here a few days while waiting for the Final Four tournament and each day I've seen staff working and cleaning or tending to the place in some manner (not including the front desk) from 7am til as late as midnight. I even saw a guy cleaning up leaves in the parking lot at 9pm. They even started a little garden out front. So they obviously care. Now by my standards, the room was clean. Clean sheets and no crumbs or debris lying about. I even moved the bed to use a seat and didn't see anything beneath the bed. In truth, I wouldn't recommend taking your wife here on your honeymoon but it's definitely not as bad as people make it out to be. I did see some bugs from time to time in my room. Maybe about 5 per day? But it was only because I let crumbs fall on the ground and none of them were roaches or things to freak out about. Just squash it and move on with your day. I would recommend storing your unsealed food in the mini-fridge just to be safe, though. Aesthetically, the room has some quirks but again temper your expectations and be realistic with yourself. Unless you're entertaining guests, what difference does it truly make?
DO NOT STAY HERE AND DO NOT BOOK THEM THROUGH PRICELINE!! Under new “ management” rules they will not allow you to book reservations for family members even if they are listed as a guest. Even when not listed on the site. Instead they will take and keep your money saying to reach out to Priceline for a refund. Who then says the hotel refused the refund. So then you will be paying for a room you will never get the chance to sleep in. And after hours and hours on the phone from one person to the next you will still be stuck without any progress. Don’t waste your time OR money here!
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!!! This is the WORST place I've ever set foot in (and I've stayed in some shady places), the hotel needs to be knocked down. (Stay was in mid-Oct 2021) Got to the hotel after being on the road for 9 hours, lobby is not open, have to check in/out through the weird little night window area, nobody was around/paying attention and it took a while to get acknowledged. They then asked and had signs for a $100 cash deposit, it's not posted anywhere on the internet, except on that window and telling you in person, so everyone had to leave and go get cash before checking in. When I finally got into a room after an hour of waiting/getting cash, the room was AWFUL HORRIBLE TERRIBLE. The bed was made but other than that, didn't look like anything had been cleaned (almost every surface was dirty, floors and carpets definitely not cleaned, etc) and almost the whole room looked like it was falling apart including the whole bathroom, huge cracks and holes in all the walls. I inspected the room quickly and was out of there in less than 2 minutes. Went back down, really wanted to find another hotel but was too tired and this hotel doesn't give any refunds, so I made them put me in another room. Room #2 was much better (I wasn't scared to use the sink or the toilet, or walk on the floor/carpet), except I did have to kill some cockroaches. And the bed was actually decent but the pillows were not great. Also appears to be in a not great location. I did walk around a little bit, I am always aware of my surroundings and never feel unsafe, but here I did not feel very safe walking at night. I really wanted to go out in Baton Rouge, but I had a long day driving and then was scarred by this ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS experience. If I could give this negative stars, I would. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT.
Please DO NOT PATRONIZE this place. The owners are foreigners and are so not worth the time. The rooms are so grimy and nasty. They say they are redoing the place but it looks like they are demolishing it. When it was the RED ROOF it was in better shape. The owners are unkind and unaccommodating. The people staying there and there are only a few are not the kind of people you want to be around. I would take the chance and sleep in my vehicle and use the service station on the corner bathroom conveniences. I think we should run these people out of the area. Please do not patronize the FairBridge go across the street to Baymont or Super8 and if you cannot afford either then stay in your vehicle or on the street you will fair better....
If I could give this hotel a negative star I definitely would! The only reason we stayed even after we paid is because garth brooks was in town and everywhere else was booked! When we checked in our room they had to go unlock it for us didn't give us a key!! We had to an hour later go ask them for one as they said they would bring one to us. We had been driving for hours and wanted to go eat but couldn't leave till we got a room key it was later in the evening when we arrived about 8 pm. The room was filthy!!!!! Cigarette burns on the comforters even tho was non smoking hotel sheets and blankets were dirty floor was not vacuum or swept. The drawers in the dresser had a million dead roaches at least were dead! It also had garbage and food wrappers the door looked like it had been kicked in several times and the lock didn't work on it. When they came to give us a key they had to plug in a machine and unscrew the door thing it was nothing I had ever seen! Had to pay 7$ to park in a parking lot full of homeless people just hanging out and wondering threw all night. Cops 👮♂️ showed up within 30 minutes of being there you could here sirens all night long! No trash bins inside your room so you would have to walk down to the stairs every time you wanted to throw something away. There was a huge hole in the wall like someone punched it! This place was by far the absolute worst place I ever stayed!!
This place is janky and the owners are even worse! Did you know that they don't even have a license to operate in the city of baton rouge? Another interesting fact about the owners at this hotel is they like to go into your room while you're not there and dig around. Then when you catch them try to act like you're doing something wrong and that they need to call the cops on you. Although it's pretty easy to tell that they're bluffing....

Absolutely love Neighborhood Barre!! Jessie and her team are amazing! They are very welcoming and I love starting my day with all the great classes that they offer!
Brennan is one of the best! I always feel a lot better after our sessions. He has very good âbedside mannersâ, very caring and respectful. Heâs definitely an asset to the Stretch Lab.
