This place needs a LOT of work to even begin to meet my expectations. First, due to a disability, I was promoted a room on the ground floor. In reality, I was given a room on the 3rd floor. And you guessed it, no working elevator! So after climbing to the 3rd floor with my bags and bum leg, I found the room to be less than expected. The kitchenette was extremely small and very few options for cooking. No dishes or pots/pans, so no way to cook even if I wanted to. The bedside light was broken. And the drawers on the nightstand and dresser would not stay shut without the help of my trusty duct tape. Upon arriving back for my second night, I found that the room had not been cleaned, trash was overflowing bed had not been made, and towels had not been replaced.
I’ll probably checked out the following morning, and went somewhere much more comfortable. I cannot, in good conscience, or faith, recommend this hotel, under any circumstances.
When I moved my family from Florida to Arkansas I knew we had to find a budget friendly hotel to stay until we could find a home. We braced for the worst. This hotel on Hardin Road has well exceeded any expectations we had. Our room was immaculate, the water pressure better than any high priced hotel we normally stay at. You want hot water, you've got it. We sleep so good here even we still remark daily on the comfort of the bed and want to buy these pillows! We feel completely safe. But, what puts this place well over the top? From the manager on down just wonderful, kind and attentive people. They go over the top to make sure your stay is a great experience. If you want/need, bang for your buck, definitely stay here! Because they provide fireworks for your buck!!!
To say this place is decrepit, dilapidated, and dirty beyond belief is a generous compliment. I have no idea how anyone has anything positive to say about this place. A/c doesn’t work. The bathroom isn’t clean. The toilet is actually dirty. The towels are dirty as in like actually dirty just folded? The bed sheets have a yellow spot in them in an odd location that’s too high to be pee, but not quite high enough to be spilled food so I’m not sure what it is. I’ll have to ask the last 50 tenants to figure it out cause it’s been a while since these sheets were changed. This is a great place if it was free and you cannot find a bridge to sleep under and it was raining. Even then at least you will get cleaner than showering here. I’m sure management will respond to this message like they responded to the last however many complaints with a recommendation to try them out again but at this point I’m just warning the next person to avoid to ease my conscience.
Please whatever you do stay away from this hotel, go and find someplace else to stay. I am usually not picky and I am a go with the flow kind of person , so in order for me to be complaining about this establishment it has to be pretty bad. When I checked in I was given a room at the back of the hotel, when I went to the back , there was a gentleman working on his vehicle . Me being a woman and alone I did not feel safe so, I went back to front desk and asked for a room at the front of hotel. I was provided another room on the third floor. I had to walk up the stairs cause the elevator was not working and when I got to top floor one of the windows in another room was broken . There were homeless people right across the road. When I entered my room , it smelled horrible, the floor was sticky and the TV didn't work. I called several times for someone to help with the TV issue but no answer , so I went back down stairs to the front desk but the lobby was closed. The next day , I came across a cleaning lady and I informed her of the TV issue , she then replaced the TV with another one because she couldn't get the one I had to work. I left the hotel early the next morning and there was no one available to check me out. I was told by the number provided at the front of the office to leave the room key in the lobby. I could not because the lobby was closed. So I had to leave the room key in my room and call after 9 am (CST) to check myself out.
I called the Corporate office and complained . I am sure no one cares but if you are a person who wants to stay somewhere comfortable and safe , this hotel is not for you .
I have been here 1
Month + week. Only complaint I have is that I was overfilled for my last weeks stay. I asked for mgr to contact me and confirm they would correct when rent comes due again (tomorrow) and fear it won’t occur. After month of staying my rate should have gone down 9% from 288. Wk I was paying but it went up 60.00 very disappointing. If not corrected I will be checking out tomorrow and would have stayed here for additional 2-3 months at least
I was considering renting a room here for the weekends to be able to get to work but upon reading the reviews, the people who are reviewing this establishment are illiterate and make this place seem like a hotel in Beverly Hills! One guy named J. Myers kept repeating himself saying "stale washing water", whatever that means. Most of these reviews seem to have been written by drug addicts. Totally changed my mind staying here upon reading the reviews and not because of the motel itself, but because of the people writing these reviews! Illiterate to say the least....
You get what you pay for.
Pro: inexpensive, full size fridge, sink and stove, plenty of parking, the manager was nice
Cons: horribly smelly room, scary location.. had a few issues with wandering homeless people late at night and some worrisome arguments in the parking lots. The other workers were not helpful
First red flag should have been the people in the parking lot dismatling a car. The next thing was the first desk associate seeming to be high on something. The smell in the elevator was horrible. The cleanliness was awful. There were homeless people and drug activity all over the place. I took my belongings with me even though I had another night reservation. Came back and they gave my room away and would not give me a refund. Left me 41/2 hours away from home trying to find another place to stay. I wouldn't go back and advise you to think about staying here. Over priced, nasty, dirty, homeless, drugs and unsafe.
