Extended Stay America Select Suites - Orlando - South - Extended stay hotel in Orlando - 10401 S John Young Pkwy, USA

My son and I had booked this hotel in the hopes of having a relaxing break. It all began when we had first entered the room to be greeted by roaches all over the kitchenette countertops, bathtub and floor. Our second issue arose when we had requested clean towels which took until the next day for us to receive. Today, we had run out of toilet paper as we were only initially provided one roll. I sent my son down to the front desk to ask for more toilet paper like one would do at any hotel. My son says he was told by staff at the front desk that "We don't have anymore toilet paper and we are waiting for a truck to come in with more" this is our fourth day here, the rate had increased daily and Tracy is the most miserable employee I've had to deal with and I am 62 years old, bring me toilet paper now.

Positive: The courtesy and professionalism of the Manager and his staff. Negative: You have good and bad everywhere. Overall I would say it's quiet, pleasant, and next to the highway. Which makes travel great. It's also in the center of everything. But, it's not in the heavy traffic areas which is a plus.

Very bad experience. Kitchen with no utensils, not even spoon or cup or plate. I found reaches and killed 1. The bathroom floor is soaked and I feel it might fall anytime. The ac makes such noise. None of us had sleep properly. We checked out early morning and not sure if they refund for the remaining days.

Just got to this hotel and I’ve been waiting for a half hour so far and I don’t know how long I still have to wait to check in. I don’t understand why they don’t have someone at the desk at all times. I work in hospitality and that is the number one rule. So far I’m not impressed. I guess the staff feels they can take an hour break at the time of check in when there’s also 10 other people in the lobby waiting to check in too. In addition after we finally got checked in the room wasn’t liveable and the AC and Fridge were broken. When I went down to get a different room she put me in another room that wasn’t what we had paid for and the keys didn’t work either. When I returned a third time to the front desk the front desk staff Maria I believe her name was, dismissed us and sent us out leaving us nowhere to stay. I’m fed up with this location and I want to make sure everyone here knows how bad this place really is.

Positive: Price and location. Room was decent to spend night Negative: Walls are tin I wipe up feeling unsafe. Very suspicious people in the hallways staying in hotel. Cameras all over the hotel. I don¿t recommend this one even thou room space was decent has laundry . Bed was not comfortable but was okay for the price Negative: ""

The folks at this hotel are GREAT! So friendly. Jessica always goes out of her way to help us. Juan the manager always friendly and always willing to listen. Things always taken care of. Rooms clean and fresh. HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Honestly, my experience at the Extended Stay America Select Suites- Orlando- South has been one of my worst hotel experiences yet. Never yet had I stayed in a property as, frankly, bad as this property. Upon arrival at the front desk of this hotel, I recently this stay would be rough when the front desk agent was relatively rude, and made (not answered, but made) two separate calls as I waited in front of him. Immediately after I checked in, he shut the door for the front desk, placing a sign that states the Front Desk isn't always open, and instructing guests to call another number. I know this is a way to save money and keep rates low (and implied with the "select suites" aspect of the property name), but this looks bad. The vending machines next to the elevator, as well as the back door entrance to the property, were broken. The room appeared nice at first glance, with the only imperfections being one hair in the sheets, a dirty toilet, and another hair in the shower. My first night of sleep was OK, but the second night was outright unacceptable with the amount of noise being made by the Floors above. I could hear every noise made on the ceiling, and it kept me up substantially. Additionally, at check out, I noticed my room had literal bugs crawling out of the electric outlets, including the one near my bed, which left me with an unnerving feeling. As for the location of this hotel, it is alright. It is within an easy driving distance to SeaWorld, and nearby food options include Checker's, Zaxby's, and a Wawa. All in all, I wouldn't return to this hotel again. It looks like it could be ok, but in reality, this rebranded Value Place property is not exactly great.

Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Rooms were clean and decent sized. Nice laundry facility. Only downer was no pool. But I would definitely recommend this hotel over alot of the Extended Stays in the area.
