Extended Stay America Select Suites - Louisville - Airport - Featured Reviews (450)
There were roaches in the room. Only gave 2 towels for 4 people. We had to bring dirty towels down stairs to get clean ones. Hallways smelled like smoke and marijuana. People hanging out late at night in parking lot and in hallways. Microwave hardly worked took forever to heat food. AC didn't cool that well. No room service. If you need toilet paper you had to go to the front desk. You have to take trash to dumpster. After hours you gotta look for workers or call the 800 number for help. ( Nobody at front desk after hours.) It didn't feel safe after it got dark to go outside. Grass was high around building to walk dog. The employees were nice and helpful
This was the WORST hotel I have ever been to. I chose this hotel due to my daughter’s basketball tournament being at the expo center, and it being over a week. The room had holes in the fridge and bathroom door from punches/kicks. The worst part is the light that came on ALL NIGHT long over the two beds. We complained twice to the front desk and they did nothing. After four nights of this sleepless torture, I went, bought tape (and used the box of the swifter I had to use to clean the floors) to cover it up, in hopes of having some sleep. It felt unsafe, smelled like marijuana, and was disgusting, with sticky floors and questionable tenants. I will NEVER stay at another of these chains, and certainly will NEVER come anywhere near this one. Do NOT waste your money.
Omg. This place is the nastiest hotel I have ever been to in my life. Whole place stinks to high hell. Got stuck in the elevator for a couple of minutes then it clunker and finally went up. Used the stairs only after that. No way that passes inspection. Tv doesn't work, bathroom light doesn't work, and did I mention that it smells. Pillows are stained, walls are dirty, fridge seal is torn all the way off. Can't believe this place isn't condemned. All the comments said they prohibit smoking but people are in lawn chairs in parking lot smoking. Tired to give a 0 review but had to give it at least 1.
While the guy at the front desk is personable, the hotel rooms and location in general are questionable. The room had an odor coming from the HVAC unit that made my eyes water. The light switches were sticky. There’s a ceiling light connected to a motion sensor which only stays off if you cover the sensor. However, if your love of trains trumps all then there’s a rail line directly across the street.
I am not one to write a review, but this hotel deserves one. The hotel in general has a very, very strong odor of cigarette smoke. Every hallway and including my room. Many stains on the linen of both beds. It seems the hotel has security issues, with the strong presence of law enforcement in the parking lot. A massive $500 charge directly to your credit card for “leaving trash in the hallway and near the exits”?? Plenty of cigarette butts directly outside of the front door. Disgusting in general. My wife and daughter could not take the smells and the obvious stains on the bedding. We booked a three night stay for a volleyball tournament….. left after only being there for 6 hours. Please, look elsewhere. You will be glad you did.
Underwhelmed. It was definitely no frills, yet clean. There was a live roach in my room. Has a cook top stove, sink and refrigerator. Not the full amenities of a true Extended Stay. There are no dishes, no iron, no hangers. I did not sleep well as it is next to a train track and the bed was not comfortable. Unfortunately, I do not have a good review for this place and will not be staying here in the future. The Manager Te'oma is professional and thorough and he is definitely an asset to this company.
I am a frequent traveler and stay in alot of hotels. The reason I booked a room at this place is because it was close to waverly hills sanatorium it looked clean and was close to waverly hills sanatorium which is the main reason I even came to Louisville. Before I booked the room online I made sure that it would sleep for adults. With that being said it showed that it slept 4 adults and it also has a kitchenette which was the other main reason I booked a room here. When I got up on the third floor to go to my room it literally smell like potpourri and poop. Then when I get into the room I realize there's only one washcloths and towels and there was absolutely no dishes or pots and pans with the kitchenette okay no biggie right I can just call the front desk in the morning?! Wrong!! I called the front desk you have to pay $20 in order to use their pots and pans and dishes which I don't think is refundable and then when I asked for more towels and washcloths being said there's four adults in the room, I go down to the front desk to pick them up and she hands me a washcloth. I said can I get another towel at least. Front desk lady kind of throws a little fit and said something to me about night shift. So I said to her why would you advertise that my room is for four adults if you can't Supply the towels and washcloths?! This is absolutely ridiculous. If you want to use the phone in the room they charge you a $1 fee even if your call doesn't go through you still get charged a dollar. The night shift guy was nice but as far as anything else I will never stay here again and I recommend anybody else that's looking to stay in Louisville do not stay at this place I don't know if the other ones are better I'm assuming they're probably all the same but I highly do not recommend anyone to stay here I will never be back. And it's taking everything I have to not call booking and ask him to get me into another hotel for tonight instead of staying here because I already paid for last night and tonight
The bed is not comfortable here… a lot of disturbance in the nighttime you can't even sleep in This Place it's better to sleep in a car instead of sleeping here…. no coffee machine and no iron…. Floors are very sticky in the room even the bathroom as well wish I could give zero stars don't waste your money staying at this place

We stumbled in here after grabbing food around the corner. We had a great experience. The bartenders were knowledgeable. As a bonus, they were having happy hour all day because it was Sunday. I think our old fashioned were $6 each. They were wonderfu
