Extended Stay America Premier Suites - Tampa - Gibsonton - Riverview - Extended stay hotel in Gibsonton - 10623 East Bay Rd, USA

This was a last minute booking and the hotel looked like it was in a good location. We checked in later in the evening and the front desk was unattended. While we waited for a staff member, we noticed the elevator was out of order. During check-in we were told we could have a room on the third or fourth floor. We chose the third floor as we had a few bags we needed to carry up the stairs. The room had a typical old Florida hotel smell; mold and mildew. It appeared clean however. The cleaning staff did a good job. There were a few switches on the wall that we never figured out. The lamps next to the bed have USB A plugs, which is nice, although we no longer have any USB A cables, just C. The hot water was plentiful and the water pressure was very good. A small shampoo and a little bar of soap are provided. In the morning we discovered some roaches unfortunately. As Floridians we aren't oblivious to the insect life in this state. Various roaches and "Palmetto bugs" are all over the place. But good hotels find a way to keep them out of the rooms. We won't stay here again, but it is a very convenient location just off the highway with plenty of food options nearby.

I love this extended stay premiere !! Arrived after a long trip with my family & front desk staff was polite and friendly SHE GAVE US A BOTTOM FLOOR MADE IT EASY FOR US & offered us plates & kitchen needs show us where laundry was & even let us know breakfast hours in morning THANK YOU 😉 5stars ⭐️ LOCATION IS VERY CLEAN ON OUTSIDE AS WELL

I checked in with the elevator working. After I spent a few minutes in my room— dog food and cat litter on the floor and dirty towels too— and it smelled awful so I went to Walmart and purchased an air purifier and air sanitizer and that didn’t work then went to my car to bring up my luggage. Cops are there for what I don’t know. I bring my luggage in and the elevator is out of service. I’m on the 3rd floor. After carrying up essentials via the stairwell. I begin shortness of breath (asthma and back issues) so I’ve had it, I gather my things and leave. I left the key in the room. I check into another hotel and go to bed. I call to cancel and they won’t refund the room. Only low quality hotels do this. Go to a better place and get the service you deserve! Don’t try to save a buck. It ended up costing me double for being frugal. Learn how to treat customers and they come back. Customer service 101! I sent a message to corporate too.

I have stayed at several ESA Hotels but this Gibsonton location is BY FAR the BEST ONE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The facility is always clean! When you walk through the sliding doors the smell is inviting! I have OCD so cleanliness is important! Their staff members are always friendly and very helpful! Their management team is TOP TIER!! The rooms are clean and equipped for a long or short stay! Full refrigerator/freezer. A stove top to cook! A full size microwave! The water pressure in the bathroom is amazing 🚿!! You are able to get fresh linen and towels 24/7. The rooms and bathroom are very nice!! I love the size! It's like being in a studio apartment. They have a large washer and dryer room. They have a gym! There are restaurants all around you so you are able to walk to eat or pick up groceries. The atmosphere is safe for children of all ages. That is very important. Don't make the sad mistake of going to the wrong ESA Hotel because they are not all created equal 😂 you will end up at Gibsonton. They are THE BEST!!!!! Don't forget that breakfast is available too!

I stayed here for 1 night for a business trip, I was really surprised at how new this hotel looked, considering is almost 4 years old. The installations are very modern, the rooms are modern, spacious and clean, the internet was good as well, I would have given the rooms 5 stars if it wasn’t for the strong chemical smell from the cleaners. They have a very limited breakfast products, more of a “grab and go” type, but the coffee was good. They provide with cooking pots and utensils upon request which is great for cooking your own meals

Positive: I stay in hotels a lot, and this was one of the dirtiest hotels I have ever seen. My room smelled like other people, there was hair on my floor, and the hallway to the room was disgusting! I will never stay at that hotel again!! Negative: Cleanliness is critical! This hotel is not clean!! Negative: ""

Staff was nice, location was okay however the room was dirty! Towels were dirty, bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned. Had to go buy a bathmat and towels at Walmart to take the shower . Would not stay again.

Great spot but that's about it, the rooms where nice but... The ac only worked when it wanted to and when brought up to staff, you would always get a long winded response about how they had someone coming at some point to work on it. I stayed for 2 months for work, coming home after working in the Florida heat and walking in your room and it's hotter than it was outside sucks.
