Avoid this place if you can. Unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The hotel was dirty for the first 3 days. We did not have hot water for 2 weeks, and the smell in the hallway and the room was awful. The highway and airport sounds keep you up at all hours of the night. We ended our reservation early because the experience was so bad.
The staff wasn't very friendly or welcoming. Definitely not a kid friendly place as we got a noise complaint at 730pm. I guess I was expected to muzzle and 3 and 1 year old. The room was filthy and we found a German Cockroach on the counter the following morning and we checked out immediately. Picture is after I killed it. No safes in the rooms either. I also found it strange that after about 10 minutes of being there, we get a menu under the door that says "Hot Pizza" and a phone number. No address and when I googled "Hot pizza" and the phone number, I found nothing. Odd to say the least so we ordered from Anthonys coal fired pizza and it was great. Do yourself a favor and find a different place if your wanting the basic necessities and cleanliness that should come with getting a hotel.
You get treated more like a prisoner than a guest. Everything is done on there time. $6 to wash and dry clothes. No pool. The pool has been closed for over a month with no explanation. Only treadmills in the fitness room. No outside seating or anything to do on the property itself. Free breakfast... Broken granola bars, oatmeal, and if you're lucky and orange every once in a while. Coffee but barley. It ends at exactly 930 and that is it. Staff is hit or miss. They make you leave while cleaning your room but where are you supposed to go while they do it. They force you to spend money and get mad if you ask to reschedule or give you a minute to get ready before they clean. I work the night shift and this is very frustrating.
i literally love this hotel so much this Friday was my second time there i literally love that hotel so much the rooms are a 10 the best and the breakfast are soo good and the location is just amazing i love the hotel so much the bed is comfortable and they are really kind and the service is amazing.
I didn't like the cleaness of the room. The sofa bed is not good. The breakfast is very simple (muffin and coffe) The staff was nice and the overal were good!
My wife and I arrived at 10pm from the airport. The lady at the front desk, Gloria, said that “someone” cancelled our reservation a few hours prior and that there were no rooms available. When we explained that our flight just landed and we definitely never cancelled the reservation, no help or advice was offered until I started to lose patience. Then we were allowed to book a room for that 7 day stay immediately. I guess someone must have checked out and left out of the back door because we never saw anyone leave so suddenly there was a room available. On day 2, the vending machine charge my debit card $10 but never gave me the 3 energy drinks that I paid for. When I asked the front desk what I should do, I was told I have to wait til Friday to speak to the manager. Thats weird but whatever. On Friday, the manager said I have to contact the vendor. She gave me an 800 number because there is no information on the actual machine. Again, weird. Tried calling the number several times for it to just keep ringing then hanging up. Yet again, weird. My wife accidentally got blood on 2 sheets. We cleaned the mess up with 2 towels. As I was exchanging the soiled linen and towels, I was informed that we would be charged as the couldn’t be cleaned. I agreed but requested to be given the items that I would be paying for. I used the community washer/dryer at $3 for each use on either machine with single load laundry detergent that the hotel sold to me for $4 and the whites were white again. And… our room was not cleaned once in 7 days. When asked why, the front desk said that we would have to stay longer than 7 days to get the room cleaned once! Wow. Then they don’t provide any substantial toiletries. They provide soap, shampoo, and toilet paper. No toothpaste. No conditioner. No lotion. No floss. When I asked if I could use some cleaning supplies to clean the room myself, I was given directions to Walmart and instructed to buy my own. The phone in the room has a sign that says all calls, both local and long distance, require a $1 surcharge… that surcharge is still applied even if the call doesn’t go through. Any attempt to use the phone costs $1. That’s ridiculous and greedy. On top of all of that… there are people who “camp out” in the lobby/dining area all night long. This was just not a pleasant experience for our first time in Miami. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone and I personally would never stay here again. Do better people.
I used third party booking site that sent me to a location with NO availability... I called extended stay directly they honored the reservation and found me a close location with an available CLEAN, COSY room!!! This all happens 12-2am time est so thank you 24 hour assistance ....Also GLORIA (at this location) IS AWESOME! Very accommodating!!!!
Honestly, it's a great place. However, after being here for 5 days, the pool was shut down by the city, and they had no clue when it would be opened again. The rooms are great. We stayed for almost a month. We did come here because of the apartment like rooms. We were able to save money on ordering food by cooking for ourselves. They do supply you with the utensils to cook and even eat. They do weekly cleanings if you're staying longer than a few days. The laundry room is handy when your staying for a while. The area is fine, nothing out of this world but private. There is a billiard and steak house in a small shopping plaza. The one amenity we really wanted to enjoy was shut down, and that's the only reason I gave 3 stars. It's hard to entertain an autistic child if there's no pool. Hopefully, the pool opens up before we leave. Otherwise, my 3 stars stay. The staff is great they aren't a big staff. There were some issues with the elevator and the key cards not working, but that's easily overlooked. Really wish the pool was open.
