My stay here was in May 2024 the room (I can't remember the room number) was decent and a nice size. The location was the best part, it's close to the freeway plus there's plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance. I anticipated my stay to be at least a month long due to my situation, however, the staff and management is horrible! First of all, they treat paying GUESTS like prisoners, housekeeping is an accommodation but apparently at this hotel it's mandatory and they can come in whenever they feel without permission LOL I have to laugh hard at that!! I have no idea what business management/law classes the assistant manager took but definitely not the correct ones. Long review made somewhat short myself, my son and my cats were put out because I didn't make them aware of my two cats upon check-in (housekeeping came in the room without permission or notice because when checking in the manager said I wasn't going to receive housekeeping due to my booking type, whatever that meant) so even though I had paid for days in advance we had to GET OFF WORK (the assistant manager called my cellphone like it was an emergency) and retrieve our belongings that day/evening. On top of that I have been placed on the "do not rent" list so I have contacted the headquarters because evidently some prejudice played a major part, it has nothing to do with SOME CATS not even dogs, some CATS so I need answers hopefully we can discuss what was really the issue.

The front desk lady was rude and when I asked how much they were charging me for 2 pets she wouldn’t explain it properly. I’m not paying $50 a day for 2 pets and when I asked for a breakdown in the price she started getting an attitude. If I’m paying $776 for 1 week then I have the right to ask for an invoice explaining why it’s so much. The lobby was unappealing as well. I told her we will be staying for awhile but wanted to pay weekly and she stated that I have to continuously pay that price for the dogs every week and a deposit over and over again. I don’t see how that’s correct. I went somewhere better and cheaper. I recommend WoodSpring suites to anyone that’s looking for something a little more adequate

Stayed here and the water to the shower was non stop running I asked to change rooms because it was loud and they said no. I asked for extra pillows and they said no. Asked if they have knifes/forks/cups/bowls and got a oh sorry we don't have anything to offer! Floors are nasty and the room smells. Had to plug in our TV behind the bolted In dresser. Only good thing was the bed was at least clean.

This is a horrible hotel. The employees have an attitude with the guests. Maintenance guy didn't even know what a toilet flapper was. House keeping doesn't speak very good English. The elevator is a total safety concern, jumps up and down getting in and out. The carpet is nasty throughout the hotel, stinks. My room had a foul odor, general manager didn't seem to care, never came to investigate the smell. The outdoor smoking tables are also a safety problem, just sitting on them, you could possibly get hurt. Homeless people walk the property 24/7.

Been staying at the phoenix chandler since November 2023. One front desk worker is absolutely horrible she’s is rude she’s constantly on her phone ignoring guests she misplaced a fedex package with time sensitive legal documents i needed mailed out and she decided it was important enough to her to place it in outgoing mail . I’ve since had to book a red eye flight across country which cost me almost 1000$ a hotel there for the over night and missed a day of work . She doesn’t know or do her job well at all . The manager told me after 30 days the taxes fall off and my rate would be cheaper . I went to pay and she attempted to charge me full price again and i said that’s not right the manager told me after 30 days the taxes fall off she replied extremely rude and said that’s your rate don’t like it take it up with management. I will be ending my stay with extended stay as soon as possible! Very unacceptable

Do not stay at this hotel. The General Manager Christine Scantton needs to be fired. She talks about the Assistant General Manager in the front lobby with her other staff. If she doesn't like the questions you ask her she will happily tell you to get out. During my several months there the bathroom toilet over flooded at 3:30 am. Awoke to hear running water. When I got out of the bed to go check I stepped into ice cold water up to my ankles. When I asked about moving to another room. I was told that if I didn't like it here I could leave. ||||I made a complaint to guest services because the elevator didn't work for over four weeks. The day I went down 3 flights of stairs with 3 loads of clothes to wash. After putting liquid detergent in the washers I noticed the washers wasn't working. Rosanne the Assistant Manager said that the routers was down.. I decided to wait around until the routers were backup. After 20 minutes the routers was up. There was not mention of the washers or dryers weren't working. ||||After my wash was over. I tried to use the dryers. The routers were down again, still no notice posted anywhere mentioning this. I then had to pull 3 loads of wet clothes up 3 flights of stairs. I spent 2 weeks off work due to injurying my back. When I brought it to Christine attention she told me there was nothing she could do. I would have to call corporate. ||||I contacted guest services several times with no success. Rosanne reached out to the Regional General Manager. He stated in order for me to be compensated for my missed days off work due to my back injury I needed a doctors notice. In the meantime, he would credit my account for two days. Once I obtained the doctors notice. Christine immediately intervened telling me that the Regional Manager only authorized 4 more days. She then lied saying I refused the credit. I left several messages to client services for the Regional until it was escalated to the VP. Unfortunately, I received no response back. ||||In the meantime, Christine and Quita moved a very loud man next door to us. He would bang on the wall all times at night. He would scrap things against the wall at 2 and 3 in the morning. He and his guest would get extremely loud. After a few weeks he checked out. He came back and started all over again. Christine was aware and she and Quita worked together to harass us. ||||Three weeks prior to that everyone was awaken by a fire alarm. One of the rooms caught on fire. One of the tenants set it on fire trying to cook meth. When the air freshener dies down you can smell it. The floors are very hollow on the 3rd floor, especially before you reach room 321.||||Our last day there was Christine yelling at me telling me I can't talk to tenants who have experienced the same type of treatment that she has given me. There was another African American woman whose toilet flooded her entire room. She was trying to figure out why would she be told to get out. She said she asked Christine to move her to another room but was told to leave. I mentioned to the woman to get in contact with guest services. Christine daughter and son ( who should not be working at the same place) overheard me tell the woman what to do. When I came down to complain about the man returning and making noise next door to me, again. Christine said I had no right talking to the guest and started screaming "get out, I'm going to call the police." She even said, that I her son said that called her racist. After her performance in the lobby with customers watching I definitely said that it was very unusual to only put African descendants out of the establishment. I mentioned that she would move other people with no question. Executive Management is part of the problem, they never respond back. Don't spend your money here. Yes, she is a racist and she needs to loose her job.

I had booked a reservation through a third party when I got to the location on the date of check in the employee at the front desk said my reservation was not in there system and I have still not received a refund since I already paid. The employee was rude as well and trying to get my money back has been more than a hassle than it should. Untill I get my refund my review will stay posted.

Christina and Tiffany at the Front Desk are really sweet and helpful. So are the housekeeping staff. Anything I've needed, they quickly provided. The room is clean and odor free. Very nice laundry and ice/vending room. Extra security patrols the grounds so I feel very safe here. Plus all I need to do is use the room phone to reach the front desk should I ever need to. The hotel is kept clean. They have breakfast in the mornings, but with my own kitchen, full sized fridge/freezer and stove, I've been able to cook for myself. Loads of delivery services for meals and groceries using a delivery app. So great location and great staff, would definitely recommend staying here!
