Initial reception was friendly, but all further interaction w front desk was disappointing. Keys cards were problematic & I was told not to put them near phones or keys. I’ve NEVER had a problem w key cards at other hotels. Room was not welcoming; light fixture cover fell off in restroom, bathtub was stained & didn’t appear very clean, no drain covers in tub or kitchenette sink. Floors did not feel or look clean. This room & interior of this hotel was tired & needed a lot of repair. Bed linens & towels were clean, beds comfortable. Hotel was quiet. I would not stay here again nor recommend.

Do not stay!!! This place needs to be shut down it is unsanitary and dirty not safe to have people sleeping here. They should not allow the public to book hotels here if it's a homeless encampment. The should advertise as a homeless shelter. We had a last minute soccer game and had to book somewhere near by. We thought because it was Yorba Linda in orange county it would be ok. Nevertheless the opposite. Horrible! Upon arrival you will see elderly people in wheelchairs out in the front smoking. We had a talk with one of them saying they were homeless and staying there. Once you walk into the front lobby it smells like urine. When you walk down the hallways the floor is so dirty it looks like it has no been cleaned in years. The elevator is so unsanitary you don't want to touch the walls and hold your breath while in there it smells like urine and cigarettes. The room we got looked clean , but as we settled in there was trash under the bed, facial, body hair on the sheets and the bathroom walls. The towels and sheets had makeup stains. There was a sign on the bathroom wall that they inspectly clean , but there was a facial hair on the sign that definitely was there for a while. To top it woke up in the morning with bed bug bites. This is no safe for the community nor homeless people that live there. Hopefully the city and sanitary agency looks into closing this place.

PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE: I was just looking at the hotels owners response to Mike Grahams review. If you read this Mike you know all this hotel does is lie. This is for all future guests. I've been staying at this hotel for almost 4 months, mostly due to the fact that they pretty much ruined my life. I'm in the last room on the bottom and in May my room was flooded all night into the morning. They couldn't get a maintenance person out for 4 hours. In this flood my art that I sell and antique furniture had been ruined. Thousands on thousands of dollars. With maintenance telling me which I have recorded that it wasn't my fault it's because I have the last room and how the tube's are ran. After over a week of constant emails to Better Business Bureau, to the owner which gave no reply and obviously still don't even know his company because if he did he wouldn't say talk to April Martin to Mike Graham because she hasn't been here for 2 months. After having my art appraised, after ruining everything I had to make money I was offered 5 days compensation in which I declined and they still put it on my portfolio but laugh at this. The credit was towards 5 days I already paid. So now I sit here not able to work and they filed a civil suit on me to throw me out because I can't pay. Plus my wife and me have heart failure. PLEASE TO ANYONE DO NOT STAY HERE THEY HAVE LITERALLY RUINED MY LIFE AND THEIR STILL DOING IT. Plus they kept me in same room that had crap and piss on the floor that's carpet. Also black mold underneath the sink that when I first came and complained about but nothing ever resolved still there.

Kevin at the front desk at Extended Stay Yorba Linda was a wonderful help! He is pleasant, personable, & knowledgeable. He assisted us with all of our questions during check in and beyond. It is clear that he is there to assist with any guest request and we have been satisfied anytime we have had a question or need! Thank you Kevin for your hard work! It is appreciated by your guests!

The hotel appears dated, but overall, my experience was positive. The staff were generally friendly, although I encountered some difficulties in communication. While the room was clean, there was a noticeable odor resembling that of a wet dog, and the carpet had a few holes. Additionally, the floor felt sticky, and the lack of proper ventilation throughout the hotel was evident. The elevator also seemed to require maintenance.

One of my worst experiences at a hotel. Check in was a bit slow (room wasn't ready and I was there at 6pm). The gentleman and lady at the desk were very nice and helpful. I was in a rush I stayed here for work - I work overnights and made an arrangement at check-in to Check out late. I agreed to pay $10 hourly to stay until 3:00 and the gentleman at the desk was super nice and very helpful and put notes on my account, I literally watched him do it. I worked overnight, from 8:00 p.m. until after 11am. Needless to say, I was really tired. I knew I only had time to take a nap for a few hours and then I had to drive over an hour and 10 minutes to the location of where I was working that night. At almost noon I had settled in and was about to lay down when there was a knock at my door. There was a gentleman in business attire with a clipboard at my door, he asked if I planned on checking out because checkout was at 11:00..... I politely told him I was checking out late like I had arranged with the front desk the evening prior. He acted like I was lying and then said the latest I could check out was 2 and it would cost extra (he said it like he didn't think I'd want to pay it). I advised I knew it was $10 an hour and I was happy to pay, I just needed to sleep because I had been awake for over 24hours and had a long drive ahead of me. He told me if I stayed until 3pm I would have to pay for another night. He was not impolite, but he definitely was not there to help me. I was frustrated because after the exchange I was going to have less than 2 hours to sleep and pack the rest of my stuff and get out of the room. I was willing to pay an extra 20 or $30 but I wasn't going to pay $100 to sleep there till 3:00. I laid down and fell into a deep sleep pretty quickly, only to be woken up 20 minutes later by loud pounding on the ceiling, it literally sounded like someone had a room full of 12-year-olds running across the floor and jumping on the bed and scooting furniture. I don't know why it was so loud. I waited thinking maybe someone was just checking out since it was literally 12:40, and then since it continued for 15 minutes I called the front desk and they said they'd notify the manager, at 1:15 I was so angry that I literally just got out of bed packed all my stuff went down checked out and left. That means 20 minutes of sleep after being awake more than 24 hours when I had to drive. Never staying here again, not only was that experience a bad one, but while the room was spacious, it was also pretty haggard, the bed was super hard, the towels and bedding were cheap and not comfortable. I didn't even take a shower there since I was waiting to go to a different hotel that was much nicer at my next destination. Sidenote- the front desk attendant was the same person from the day prior who checked me in and was uninformed that someone had come to my room and did not charge the extra time if been there, he confirmed that the cleaning crew was above me when I'd arranged to be there to sleep. Not feeling entitled, just super disappointed at the lack of communication. It's a value if you just need a place to sleep and a full size refrigerator... But honestly I paid way too much for checking in at 6:00 p.m. just to head to work so I could sleep the next day and sleeping 20 minutes. I literally wasn't even in my room that long. The redeeming factors were that it was close to my work, the room was spacious, and the first gentleman at the front desk was very polite, even when I went downstairs to check out he seemed shocked and said well I put that in your notes about late checkout! He had remembered me, took time to triple check the notes were there and also waved the extra 20 bucks that would have been for me to stay until 1:30. I really appreciated that since I didn't get to sleep and I didn't shower, basically all I did was leave my stuff there and put some things in the refrigerator. I hope others have a better experience.

The Extended Stay Yorba Linda location has been a repeatedly rewarding experience. From the location, to the building to the grounds themselves everything is exactly what you'd want it to be. Retail, and LOTS of food all with in easy walking distance. If you choose not to go out there are FULL kitchens there. Didn't bring plates or silverware? -don't sweat it. They got ya covered. They have everything from glasses to toasters to coffee makers that you can borrow. But the thing that merits mention more than any other is the consistently awesome and amazing staff at that place! Everyone from the folks doing the cleaning up to the management is just top notch good. Of exceptional note, however is Audrey. Personable, knowledgeable, patient and friendly. These guys not only make you feel like you're home, but they take care of you as well. For the money, you simply won't find better accommodations anywhere near that place. At the end of the day, given the pace of modern life, it is actually kinda nice to know that a place like this and people like these, exist.
