Words cannot describe this place. Total deception from the pictures. We called to verify pet friendly and we’re told all rooms are pet friendly until we got there (Dutchman lane) then told we are out of pet friendly rooms. Go to our other location. This place is a haven for drug addicts and other derelicts, didn’t feel safe at all. Not at all clean and there is not the breakfast advertised, just packaged muffins and weak undrinkable coffee. If I could rate a ‘0” or negative 1, that would be our rating. Don’t waste your money.
The rooms were fairly clean, some crumbs under the bathroom counter and some stains on the shower walls but overall not enough to ask for another room or room service. There was quite the smell but management was very quick to give me air freshener when I asked. What made this a definite five star review was Max. He was absolutely lovely from start to finish. I ended up needing to extend my stay by two days and it was cheaper to do online through a third party, and he assured me it wouldn't be a problem. He got me my same room back even though my new reservation was for a different type of room. Service here from Max was exceptional. Service from the two ladies in the afternoon was okay, nothing to fawn over.
No free breakfast and no swimming pool, I sleep well in the hotel however it says free breakfast and they're just putting out muffins and granola bars which are snacks and additional items to eat if you wish to gain weight. The hotel has refused to serve me coffee before I leave to go to work in the morning. Making it very firmly clear that they do not make breakfast until 6:00 in the morning. Circumstantially I would advise you to find a different hotel to stay at if you're looking for one or you will be comfortable and more specifically if you're looking for a hotel where you will enjoy your stay. Also this hotel has no pool.
The rooms were clean but dated. The shower didn’t get as hot as I’d like, but was warm enough. The staff was friendly but the hotel itself was woefully understaffed. There was never anyone at the front desk. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke, and there was dog poop left outside by some of the other guests.
Bed and pillow were both comfortable. My room faced on the west side. It was very hot. Air conditioner worked great.
My stay at the Extended Stay Americas (ESA) in Kentucky was disappointing. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a strange man sitting in his car yelling at me “You got a reservation?” The strange man turned out to be the front desk staff, already a bad start. Inside, the check-in process felt disorganized, with repeated inquiries about payment despite my reservation being prepaid. Moreover, there was a glaring lack of communication regarding essential amenities like wifi access, breakfast details, parking instructions, navigation to my room, and checkout procedures. As I made my way to my room, the hotel had a noticeable old smell throughout, and it was apparent that the building and furnishings were aged. Upon entering my accommodation, I was met with further disappoint as cleanliness standards fell short. The kitchen area had crumbs scattered on the floor and sticky surfaces, along with spilled jam near the fridge. The bathroom sink also hadn't been properly cleaned, as evidenced by leftover toothpaste from previous occupants. The cloth shower curtain had a very foul odor to them and upon inspection you can clearly see stains on them. Additionally, one of the nightstands had visible spills on it that were sticky and covered the entire surface as well as the telephone. Moreover, several maintenance issues added to the discomfort of my stay. Some lights were not functional, there was no "do not disturb" sign provided, and the wifi was unreliable and would frequently disconnect. Regrettably, this stay at ESA not only failed to meet expectations but also left me with a lasting impression of dissatisfaction, especially considering it wasn't the first time I've been disappointed with ESA accommodations. Consequently, I cannot in good faith recommend ESA based on this experience, nor will I be staying with ESA again.
This place is “ok” and my dog liked the yard to play in. The negatives far outweigh the positives though. The worst part was the price fluctuation, I think they make it up as they go or try to see how high of a price they can get away with. I paid weekly and sometimes my weekly amount was $480, and then there were times it was almost $800. I was staying there and paying myself for work, and then my work started paying for it. When my work called and got me a room they were booked out so they had to get a more expensive room. I was already in the cheapest room, so they just changed the reservation my work made for the cheaper room, and kept me in the same room. They were supposed to refund the extra cost and the taxes (since I had been there a few months) back to my works card but never did. I’m not sure if the money is being stolen by employees or if they get a kick back by charging higher rates for the rooms, but the price is extremely inconsistent, making it impossible to manage. You think when you make a reservation you’re locked into that rate but SURPRISE, you go down to pay one week and it’s hundreds more. I also heard them talking about how they were charging 450$ a night during derby week. I also talked with another worker there and he never paid higher than 480$….so why was mine 600$ at times for the cheapest room? Where did all the extra money go? Now let’s move onto the rooms. It’s seriously about a half a mile walk to get your luggage to the room, the rooms are half cleaned, and the quality of the items in there are thrift store quality. My first night there I put a backpack on the shelf and the shelf fell off the wall. There are water leaks, holes in the ceiling from previous water leaks, there’s roaches, and as I said the cleaning crew is the D team. One night I guess there was a water leak in someone’s room. I get woken up at 3am by management and upon opening the door I’m greeted with “what’s going on in your room, there’s water leaking, what are you doing in here??!?!?”. I was sleeping….it was coming from the unit above me down to the bottom floor. I was never compensated for being woken up at 3am or even apologized to. The doors around the building work about half the time…if you need to get groceries I recommend not having your arms full since you’re going to fight with the card scanner, and even when it does work the doors stick and you have to pull with full force to get it open. 450$ a night during derby week and we can’t get the doors fixed or the holes in the ceiling? The keycards will also stop working in weird ways, not because of demagnetization. For instance they won’t open any outside doors but will open your rooms door, and vice versa. If this happens at night you’re pretty much locked out of the building waiting by the front door hoping to god someone is at the desk to let you in. Don’t be fooled by the location or the price. This is a 60$ a night motel being sold as something better.
I've stayed here twice and for a 2 star budget hotel I think it's great. There may be dated fixtures and decor that need upgrades, but rooms were clean, cozy, affordable, and roomy. I got a deluxe suite with one bed and a pull out sofa and there was enough room to provide my friend and I our own space and privacy (a door separated bed from living area). My only qualm was one time late at night after returning from a company Christmas party my key card didn't work to get me in the front door, and the lobby was closed. I tried a different side door and that worked but I did panic for a moment. I would just check the keys beforehand.

We stumbled in here after grabbing food around the corner. We had a great experience. The bartenders were knowledgeable. As a bonus, they were having happy hour all day because it was Sunday. I think our old fashioned were $6 each. They were wonderfu
