As soon as we walked in the door, the smell of cigarettes and urine was so strong that I immediately asked the front desk about it. They said that it probably was cigarettes since they can't control what guests do in their rooms. For the two days we were there, we had to wear our masks as the smell was so strong it burned our throats. The floors throughout the hotel smelled like an animal shelter - not exaggerating. The urine was so overwhelming we were looking forward to the frequent smell of weed. We had to change floors because when we were checking in, a customer was complaining about dog feces in the 3rd floor hallway, so we thankfully switched to the 1st. If they're going to remain pet friendly, they should remove the old carpets and invest in something that can be mopped. Not to mention this hotel charges the handicap parking and they only had two! It's pet friendly but not handicap friendly. The only good note about this two star hotel is Jennifer the receptionist. This was the worst Extended Stay I ever frequented.

Booked soon as I landed as I was visiting a friend in the area but we were late landing so didn't want to bug them. Arrived just after 12 at the hotel to be told the accounting App had booked myself and another as no-shows. I have never had that happen ever in any hotel. We were told very politely by a very nice young lady at the counter that if we waited till 130 Am we could rebook after getting a refund. Coming back was told that I would have to wait till check out to possibly get a refund if I rebooked. Called Hotel.com and got the refund and slept in the parking lot after a 12-hour travel day due to delays everywhere. After reading the reviews the smells and odors weren't there as described but never made it out of the lobby. Definitely needs to be a Minus 1 score for management.

i booked a room for one night here since my past experience more than 10 years ago was positive. the main reason i chose this place for my stay is the fully-equipped kitchen, as i prefer to bring my own fresh food. however, when i arrived, i had discovered that the kitchenette's cupboards were not stocked with any cookware, silverware, or dishes -- which completely defeated the purpose of having a stovetop. so i guess next time, i'm supposed to pack my own pots and pans!?! i don't think so. next time i am in this area i definitely will not be staying here.

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at this hotel several times while in the Los Angeles area. Was a bit worried about cleanliness and traveling during coronavirus. Upon arrival I was at ease at the immaculate room. Great customer service. Every time I have stayed here the front desk woman Fahmida has made me feel welcomed. I was surprised she even remembered me wearing my coronavirus mask last time and greeted me by name. She is very patient as I can ask a lot of questions about my stay and the room. She anticipates what I need and asks first. She makes sure I have everything to make my stay comfortable(shampoo, kitchenware). Feel taken care of by Fahmida. Only one complaint was the new policy of $5 parking per day. If you are staying a long stay that can be $150 a month :( to keep a car in the parking lot which adds up. So if you are bringing a car take that into consideration. In the past when I have stayed in Extended Stay parking was included. The staff and the room exceeded my expectations. Would definitely choose this hotel when I’m in LA again :)

One of the worst hotel/ motel experiences I've ever had (in this or any country). After an exhausting cross-country drive, I was excited to get to a clean, comfortable room for some much-needed sleep. Check-in was great and the front desk staff (Trevor) was very friendly and welcoming. However, everything took a hard left turn as I headed to my room. After walking through a dimly-lit hallway (with several lights burned out along the way, barking dogs from multiple rooms, and stains on all surfaces), I arrived to find that the room door was already open. This made me feel uneasy, so I walked in cautiously while calling out to make sure nobody else was there. Upon entry, I was immediately hit by a wave of stench that resembled fresh vomit. While the bedding appeared clean, the floor and other surfaces clearly weren't. I set down my items on the bed, and immediately searched for the source of the putrid smell. Although I never discovered the source, I did find a pair of used/soiled underwear in a wad on the bathroom floor. I called the front desk to describe the issues and ask if they had any other rooms available, but there were none of the same configuration. By this time it was nearing 11pm or midnight after a full day of driving. So, I figured I'd just tough it out, spray half a bottle of febreeze (to no avail), and figure something out in the morning. That was the plan, until I encountered the roaches. Within minutes of bringjng up all my items from my car and gathering what I'd need to shower/sleep, I saw a minimum of 5 or 6 roaches (at least 2 or 3 dead, and 3 or 4 crawling around) on the floors and walls. As I felt staying in the room would now be a clear health hazard, I immediately packed up my items and went to the front desk to cancel my stay/ receive a refund. Trevor was understanding and considerate, and the other staff member was (mostly) helpful-- I received an apology and full refund. Luckily I was able to find alternate accommodations, though I didn't get to sleep until 2 or 3am. But if I had no other options, I'd rather sleep in my car. I have never stayed at an Extended Stay America before. And after this experience, I plan to avoid them at all costs. The only positive about my experience was the single, friendly staff member. Edited to add: I forgot to mention that as I was packing my car to leave, a hotel-wide fire alarm went off. Luckily I had already removed all my belongings from the site. Otherwise, I may have had difficulty getting out and making other arrangements. As I drove off, it appeared like the entire hotel residency had to evacuate (around midnight/ 1am). I definitely felt reaffirmed in my decision to leave. As much as management may prefer to blame housekeeping or other lower-level hospitality employees, i feel like issues of this breadth and magnitude are the fault of hotel and corporate management. I feel terrible that people feel forced to work and live in this substandard environment.

The owners of this hotel should be ashamed of themselves. This is a glorified roach motel. If you love your family and children, do not bring them to stay. The entire hotel smells like cigarette smoke. I arrived with a 4 month old newborn and there was no way I would let her sleep there. I was actually ashamed of myself for even booking a room with this company. I can't wait for the management to respond to this review with the same template message they replied to the other negative reviews. Absolutely horrible. Update: after I was told I would get a refund, I was in fact, lied to by the front desk person.

I think yelp should allow users to give negative stars. This hotel deserves -100 points. I never seen such a horrible dirty lobby in any other place still the rates are comparable to the better renowned hotels. The lobby smells so bad. If lobby itself is like this you can think about the room. The staffs are so disrespectful and super rude. people who work there don't know the meaning of customer service but work in a hospitality industry. One staff checked in my bags but minutes later other staff shouting at us to remove those bags and told they can't store even for an hour. The tone was rude and ultimately I cancelled my reservation and found a nice hotel nearby with better price and welcoming hospitality. Stay Away From This Place.

I don't review often, but this place was bad. I stayed 3 weeks for work, and they never cleaned or restocked the room, and they are supposed to clean weekly. I asked about it on like day 9, and the woman lied and said, oh no, it's every 2 weeks. They still never came. They never had any utensils or pans to cook with or anything, so the kitchen is pointless, and the keys constantly deactivate. Like every other day. It's just lines of people needing their key reprogrammed. Also! There was a guest who had 2 pits, and one got loose in the parking lot and chased some girls onto a car and bit their mom, and they let him stay, even though he was always just about to lose control of them. 2 stars cuz the bed itself wasn't terrible and some of the front desk people were nice.
