Extended Stay America - Columbia - Northwest/Harbison - Extended stay hotel in Irmo - 1170 Kinley Rd, USA

Positive: I like the fact that there was adequate space for my family. Negative: We rented for two nights. The first night we were awakened at 3am by water pouring from the ceiling near the sprinkler system. It flooded the room and, on my wife's, iPad that was plugged in and sitting on the table. Worst night I ever spent in a hotel.

Positive: Friendly, helpful staff. Perfect room. Negative: Nope, we liked everything during our stay!. Only really minor problem was no bedside lamp on right-hand side of bed, but that is definitely no biggie.

Me and my family stayed here for a bit and the only complaint I have is that I wish their gym had dumbbells or some free weights. Every time I needed help (stove top not working right, clean sheets, new towels, vacuum cleaner, washer machine) someone was able to assist me almost immediately and solve the issue at hand. Staff super sweet, welcoming, and good energy. Destiny, Amanda, Maintenance Guy and Lori are who I encountered most and I’m grateful for their help! Location is perfect, literally around all food stores, bowling, cute mini golf course, restaurants and highway. Highly recommend.

Worse hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Hotel had a water leak a week before we arrived. No one informed us of this which could’ve given us the option to come or cancel. We arrived late at night from traveling and they didn’t have enough rooms for our party of 30. Half our party had to go to a different hotel. The half that stayed had a horrible experience - roaches crawling on the walls and beds. No WIFI. No TV. Warning: their breakfast is “Grab n Go”, nothing hot. Staff didn’t care and acted like it wasn’t a big deal that our experience was horrible. Giant waste of money. I went back and forth for a week with their GM and ended up with a $24 refund 🤬😤 Never again would I stay there. Such a terrible experience. Find a better hotel, there’s a lot in the area.

Nice all around hotel was very clean from start to finish ! The staff that works there are very knowledgeable and friendly people!!! They make you feel like family when you stay here!!! They all work with you in every way don’t go there giving these nice pple a hard time they literally have their guest feel very welcomed . My room was so clean . They provide you with what they can if it’s to be provided by the hotel. Honestly can say they are the best !!!!

This hotel didn't have any security cameras other than the front desk. While my wife was at the pool with the kids, some foreigners (who did speak English) were videotaping and/or taking pictures of my two year old daughter. We ended up calling the police and cancelled our reservation due to concerns of complete strangers recording out children. Without our any security cameras it was just our word verses theirs. We didn't feel safe.

Building, front desk clerk and front lobby are nice. Once you get last the lobby, things go downhill. First off, was very hot and had a bad smell in the hallway. Our cards were troublesome to use (card read readers were finicky). Way too many attempts to open the door. First thing we did was to check the a/c. It's set to 60 degrees and cool. Nope, no where near that cool in there. I would guess it was closer to 78-80 degrees in there. Bed side of the room never did cool down. Couch was ripped and looked dirty, all kitchen cabinets and drawers were empty (did find a note to contact the front desk for items), no bedside lamps, no electric outlet near one side of bed (CPAP user). It seemed to be a "party hotel" with lots of local car tags. Handicap parking spots were coned off and the door nearest to them was unaccessible (no way to open from the outside). The a/c problem and the ripped couch were brought to the front desk clerk's attention with no solution offered. When I told family where we were staying, they were very concerned for our safety. Your hotel has earned a bad reputation in the area. I understand these issues are not up to your standards, nor or they up to mine. I will be staying elsewhere in the future.

Don’t waste time making reservations your room will not be available room wasn’t up to par was charge more than told the reservation for the reservation customer service sucked made reservations, two days ahead of time and still couldn’t get the room that I wanted was charged more then what was told originally
